I actually really like this bar, but can’t get past the incredibly frustrating experience I just had. When you place a reservation with the bar you have to put a card down and will be charged $25 per person if you no-show or cancel last minute. This would be totally fine except for the fact that OpenTable informs you that you to cancel or modify your reservation you need to call the bar and they have no answering machine and seem to outright not pick up the phone.
Both myself and my girlfriend fell sick in the days leading up to our reservation and despite an embarrassing number of calls to the bar (including 8 separate calls in the hours leading up to our reservation) not a single one was answered. I ended up having to make the trip through traffic while ill to ask that the reservation be canceled in person
12 is a lovely bar with good drinks and friendly servers/bartenders so I cannot bring myself to give it a 1 star review but this incredibly frustrating experience has badly tainted an otherwise high opinion of the bar.
I recommend this bar only if you are making last minute reservations. If there is ANY chance that you might not be able to make your reservation, then I recommend staying away as it is seemingly impossible to cancel and they will charge you for no-showing
