Sajith was AMAZING!!!!!!! Very attentive and so helpful. Everyone was incredibly kind. Very sweet staff! It's shocking lol bc people aren't like this nowadays anymore.

We eat at Agavera once a week, great atmosphere and music, authentic Mexican food, and super nice staff. I want to shoutout Vanessa who checked on us at least eight times tonight to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. She went over the top with her recommendations, including the tomatillo salsa for a little bit of spice on my quesadilla and it was to die for! Will never stop coming here but hopefully we get to see Vanessa more often!

This used to be my favorite restaurant up until today. I went with my sister as we have been frequent weekly customers for a long time. My sister inquired about a drink and was told this margarita was $20 dollars, we said cool and ordered one each after Javier explained was all was in it. Got the drinks and it was cool. Javier brought out 2 more margaritas and a shot which we did not ask for nor order. The bill comes and he charges us $44 for 4 shots, $16 for the Grand Marnier and $20 for the drinks totaling $80. We both were like we never ordered $160 worth of food and drinks. He adjusted the bill but we had to address this unprofessionalism and poor service. We were disappointed because this has never happened before. If we ordered that we wouldn't have had any issues. Javier was off his game and in rare form as I have never seen before. My sister stated due to this we will not return. Javier said okay as if he could care less. I couldn't believe this. I will definitely share my concern further.

The food here is good. I’ve had mixed experiences with the service but overall it’s been ok. I’d definitely return. They has a dish called steak ranchero that is pretty good. I also enjoy their hard shell tacos. They have an amazing infused margarita. Their alcohol options overall are pretty good.

We just moved from Cali and we’re looking for authentic, fresh, and inexpensive Mexican in Midtown. We’ve been to a few places that didn’t fit the bill which I won’t name, and just discovered our new fav!!! Service top notch, portions are huge (hello jumbo shrimp!), vibe lively, and drinks and food are wildly affordable — thank you for keeping it real Agavero Cantina! Xoxo, your new regulars! 🍻

Javier g is the best waitress around. All star service all the way around. Made sure my girlfriends sister was tooken care of on her bday. had a blast and the food was great!

I just tried the most amazing fried ice cream ever, and I’m still thinking about it! The contrast of textures was out of this world—crispy golden shell on the outside, cold and creamy vanilla ice cream on the inside. It didn’t melt too fast either, which tells me they know exactly what they’re doing back there!

We came here around 5 pm today with my family. Javier took his time explaining the menu and the differences in margarita selection. He was friendly and very attentive! Food is on point and made with fresh ingredient. We ordered steak ranchero and el pastor taco and they were really good! We will be back in no time!
