Cute place. The food was really good. The young lady who waited on us was awesome and patient. I wish she had more help just so that she could slow down some. Will be back.

A hidden gem on buford highway. I will be back to try more drinks and food. Taco and drinks special on tuesdays and wednesdays also and a cheap kids menu! The bar is nice and its beautiful inside. I received excellent service

Love Amealco! I was here for the Home Fest hardcore show that unfortunately got broken up due to overcapacity--the scene just got too big! That said, I did not get to experience the restaurant's full offerings, but I was delighted by what I did have. Their margaritas are top notch, and they have the best fish tacos I've ever had in my life - the perfect crunch and flavor combination! Also, Ruben, the owner, is obviously a really nice guy. He cares about supporting local communities and works hard to ensure every guest is welcome, even passing out waters to people in the crowd to make sure they weren't overheating. He claims his food is the most authentic Mexican food in the area, and I believe him, especially after hearing him tell stories of the magical city the restaurant is named after. I look forward to returning with friends and family and hope to see this place prosper for years to come!

As someone who lived in Queretaro, MX for 6 years- I think this is the closest I've gotten to authentic MX food, Wow! Been here twice and I'll certainly be coming back again. We had the molcajete the 1st time then the Guajolote Queretano and the Enchiladas the second time and the sauces are just exquisite. Hiiigglyyy reccomend this place.

Place was beautiful very aesthetic but that didn’t mean the food was any less. Everything we ordered blew my mind. The only thing I felt was missing was a good green spicy salsa. Other than that the food was amazing the service was top tier and the atmosphere extraordinary! They had music playing the whole time which set the mood we came in early when they just opened so didn’t get to try their drinks but they had a bar that looked like they had everything to have a great time! We were just passing from Texas but if we were locals this would definitely be a regular spot for us! Hope to be back soon!

The atmosphere and decor was very inviting and the hospitality was fantastic. They were playing music that we loved and had plenty of booths to sit at which I prefer. The menu was very well thought out, every item we ordered seemed to have a lot of time and energy invested to make every bite a symphony of flavors and authentic ingredients. Would return to Georgia just for this place.

This gem serves authentic Mexican food! The Enchiladas Huastecas were amazing with rich Morita sauce and tender cecina meat. I also loved the Flautas Amealco in a volcanic rock molcajete. For a feast, try the House Special Molcajete Cielo—it’s packed with chicken, steak, shrimp, octopus, and chorizo, all perfectly seasoned. Don’t skip dessert; the Flan and Churros are a sweet finish. Recently featured in Atlanta Magazine, and it’s well-deserved. Definitely check it out!
