We ordered two Bloody Marys to start — my fiancé’s was fine, but mine tasted rotten. I took one sip and almost threw up. I sent it back and ordered a pomegranate vodka fizz instead, which was just okay. Even the water tasted off — so bad that I ended up sipping my cocktail instead of drinking water.
The Brussels sprouts were good but needed salt, and by the time we finally got some, they were cold. My fiancé’s eggs Benedict was bland even after adding salt and pepper. The fried chicken plate looked nice, but the flavor was just average.
Service was extremely slow. Our waitress seemed distracted, and another waitress actually ended up bringing us basic items like small plates, silverware, extra gravy, and salt and pepper. The Coke we ordered didn’t arrive until we were finishing our meal, so we just took it to go.
To top it off, my stomach felt terrible on the way home. Overall, a really disappointing experience. Save your money and go somewhere else.

On what planet do the bartenders complain about their tip and refuse to serve another drink until you increase their tip? This planet, this bar. The bartender this afternoon was rude. Hat and glasses, very rude.
We went here to grab a bight to eat before the concert we were going to. Our server was really nice and down to earth. Answered all our questions happily. Food came out in a timely manner. Kind of dark in there but I think that was part of the goal of the ambiance. Clean bathroom. Would go again.

Looking for late dinner after an event then this is it! The food was awesome and the service was great. It is a bar so it can be a little loud but the dining area was pretty quiet. The onion rings were amazing.😃

I used to love Virginia Highlands, but it has become more of a college town vibe than I remember. I don’t want my $12 cocktail to come in a plastic glass. The sweet potato fries were delicious, but everything else was pretty mediocre.

Fantastic find! Love finding spots like this with a rich history and great food. Everything we had was off the charts. Started with the deviled eggs. Then had the trout and pot roast.

Really enjoyed my visit - it's especially nice this time of year when the customers don't bark at you (War Eagle). Had a great conversation with the cute bartender in the hat - we bonded over wearing contacts sometimes. Anyways 10/10 will go again.

Best bar in Atlanta. Any negative reviews is likely because someone didn’t tip. Probably my favorite bar of all time.
