Augie's Cafe Breakfast Bar

I ordered the catfish and grits, and they were spot-on & absolutely delicious. I waited about 15 minutes to be seated and around 45 minutes for my food (on a Saturday), but it was well worth the wait. My server, Alicia, provided excellent service. I'd highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly return.

The manager is extremely rude that you guys have answering the phone today on Sunday October the 5th at 12:55 pm. I asked if gluten free options are available and she immediately got an attitude like that’s uncommon to ask. I won’t ever eat here especially if you have rude employees that give poor customer service.

The food was awesome however the wait for the food was an hour. I could go back if I ordered ahead to go so I did not have to wait another hour.

Let’s talk about how little customer service seems to matter these days. Today is Friday, October 3 time 220……I didn’t even get a chance to walk through the door before the cook told me they were closing. The website clearly says they close at 3 PM, but instead of simply explaining they were out of ingredients, he just said, “We’re closing.”

I went back in and asked, “Don’t you close at 3 PM?” He responded, “I understand, but we’re slow, so we’re closing early.” I said, “So you’re not going to make my food?” and he repeated, “Yes.”

That’s so unprofessional. The crazy part is, I used to love this place—now I can’t stand it.

My man and I came for a breakfast date and everything was top tier — the food, the bottomless mimosas, the vibe, the music, and especially the service. I had the Never Can Say Goodbye and he had the California Love — both were absolutely delicious. Huge shoutout to our waitress Ebony for the outstanding service, and to Chef Genna & the team for the incredible food. Definitely my new favorite brunch spot!

Went here at noon after church for breakfast. My first time here, no wait and was able to get a table quickly. The food came out fresh and delicious 😋. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere. Definitely give them a try, you won't regret it!! 💯😊 Also, I love the cute little names they have for the different plates of food too!! 😂 Especially, if you don't eat pork,..they have vegan and chicken sausage links.

I recommend that you make sure you have plenty of time when coming here. My family and o can here on a Saturday morning. It took a while to get seated. Once we did they put a pause on the kitchen so the cooks could catch up on orders. We ended up having to leave during that time because we had a game to attend and with the pause and cooking time of the food the server told us it would be a while. She knew we had a game to go to. So we doubled back the very next day. This time I called the food in to go. We still waited an hour to get the food to go. The food was decent

When I say I am blown away. I mean it. Everything top tier. Eboni was the icing on the cake. From the time we stepped I'm the door, to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and taken care of.
The only thing I would improve on is the restroom. The was no paper towels, the soap dispenser (both) were empty.

Awesome breakfast/brunch restaurant. I love the ole school music. Food comes out beautiful like the pictures. The host is very observant and slides in just when needed.. i have been telling all my friends about this location.

My boyfriend and I love Augie’s. We usually go to the one on Ralph David but found ourselves trying the one on Caroline Street. We ordered the catfish, Easy lovers, and isn’t she lovely. The catfish was amazing alongside the Isn’t she lovely. With my easy lovers it was shrimp based. I couldn’t even bite through the shrimp. I nicely asked my waiter if it could be remade, just the shrimp not the whole meal. Shavon(waitress) was very nice and asked the chef and he quickly got an attitude and made a big deal out of it and asked how many I ate. Come to find out it comes with 5 shrimp and one of the chefs dropped mine and forgot to remake it and initially it came with 4 . In addition to the unnecessary attitude - there’s a real problem with fruit flies (gnats) I’ve had to swipe away around 7 times at bugs in here . But in conclusion . This adventure here at Augies was alright but if there was a tad bit better customer service from the chef I believe I would’ve enjoyed myself 10x more .

Honestly one of the best breakfast places (maybe even THE best) I have been to in a long time! We had the Don't Stand Close to Me Omelette and the Never Too Much french toast, and it was delicious! The food was so good, we had not a single complaint about anything. There is really nothing bad to say at all.

I think the prices match the portion sizes, the server was very nice (I forget the name of the server we had, but she was so friendly!), and the menu has a lot of great looking options.

10/10 would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast spot!
