Aurora Coffee was recommended to me by a local to Atlanta. I had ordered the cortado with soy milk without realizing the cortado proportions were different than a standard cortado. I was going to pay for their macchiato (which is half espresso half milk) but the staff gave it to me on the house since I didn’t know the proportions when I ordered the cortado. It was really kind and I would have paid for it.
The macchiato was exactly what I was looking for. More of that espresso flavor coming through balanced with the milk.
For food, I got a vegan walnut banana bread which was delicious.
I also bought a bag of bean from Guatemala to enjoy at home. The staff was friendly with explaining the different flavors and tasting notes of the different coffee beans they had which was super helpful.
The vibe and ambience inside is quite cute. I found it cozy and a little alternative - a perfect mix. There’s space inside and outside to sit and enjoy coffee and snacks. I also saw several people working from their laptops.
I’d definitely recommend Aurora Coffee! Just be sure to double check the proportions if that’s something important to you ☺️

Excellent espresso. ☕️
Aurora Coffee in Atlanta is highly regarded for its excellent coffee, cozy and trendy atmosphere, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. It serves a wide variety of unique hot and cold coffee drinks, including standout items like chai lattes and cardamom lattes. The café is popular for breakfast and quick bites, with reasonable prices mostly between $1 and $10.
The shop features local art, outdoor seating, free parking, Wi-Fi (though limited to one hour), and is wheelchair accessible. It attracts a diverse crowd including college students, groups, and tourists. The vibe is relaxed and community-oriented, making it a great spot for solo visits or casual work sessions, although seating and power outlets inside are limited

I had an amazing time stumbling upon Aurora Coffee. I hopped off the bus to go vintage shopping when I saw this graffiti filled piece of art on the corner which was Aurora. I walked in pleasantly greeted by the staff, I had obvious questions that could be answered by reading the menu but the girl at the counter was helpful and kind. I got the Brown Bear Coffee with an extra shop of espresso, I was able to add sweeteners myself with the sugar counter, and stepped outside to enjoy the sun. Would absolutely return and for $6.50 I was very happy.
Thanks again!

So cuteeee and affordable. Parking situation confused me a little bit, but it’s free as long as you’re going to one of the stores in the complex!

Aurora is the oldest coffee shop in Atlanta. You can tell they take the coffee seriously. Good stuff. Baked goods we had were very good too. It’s got an organic atmosphere that you’d expect from the oldest shop in Atlanta. Love that especially given all these junior Starbucks chains popping up everywhere. I’m just not interested in shops that are business ventures by multi millionaires. I’d rather visit a place that feels like it’s a part of the local community as opposed to a shop that has hired a professional designer to make it seem like they are. Also one of their baristas looks like young Anne Hathaway. My daughter wouldn’t let me ask her how many people say that to her.

Everyone thinks they can have a coffee shop and do it right. But they can’t and they don’t. This spot is the jam. Always has been.
