Best Dinner experience period. Chef Karl is a master he has curated the best food, staff, wine pairings, cocktails, you name it. The attention to detail and execution is astounding. This restaurant deserves all the accolades. Shoutout to Jess at the bar and Gabby our server, but it’s a team effort. A wonderful experience and they went out of their way to make our anniversary special.

The food was exceptional, but the service did not match the fine dining menu and atmosphere. I heard our server tell the table next to us that they needed to put their entire order in at once to make it easier on him and the kitchen staff. He didn’t know the wine menu or general language around tasting notes to share with the sommelier. It wasn’t a bad server necessarily. I think there is an opportunity to refine the training for a better experience. Once management prioritizes this, the experience will be worlds apart for diners and the meal will feel more worth the price point.

My husband and I had a great experience at Avize, right from the atmosphere to the food everything was amazing, will def recommend it to our friends and family, their whipped butter and pretzel buns are so delicious, I ordered the Norwegian halibut and my husband ordered American wagyu, both the dishes were flavourful and well plated! Highly recommend trying it out

Subpar given all of the hype. We travel extensively and have dined at many high end restaurants across the US/Europe. The technical aspects of our plates were done well in terms of cooking, plating, presentation. Unfortunately, the flavors of each dish we ordered (tuna, lamb, duck) were incredibly muted and lacked the complex flavor profiles and depth that is expected at a restaurant of this type. Even the whipped compound butter tasted like...nothing. Additionally, portion sizes are ridiculous for the prices even by European standards.

Additionally all of the above is excluding the fact that while waiting for dessert we saw roaches crawling on the stacked plates in the kitchen. Would not return or recommend.

Chef Karl's creations were great. All his dishes balance savory flavors with a touch of sweetness and even the occasional bitter bite. I particularly enjoyed the duck boudin and sauce espagnole and the trout appetizer with a Riesling pairing. Service was outstanding and the entire team seems to push themselves to attain high quality.

The botanical duck was exceptional. Everything about this place is inspired. My friend and I had an amazing night. Cannot say more good things about this place.

High end restaurant with the freshest ingredients. Chef Karl really cares about your experience and is just overall friendly guy that will go out of his way so you can have the full experience. He was nice enough to show me around and seems to take good care of his crew. If you are in the area I would highly recommend. Parking can get a little tricky at times but believe me totally worth it.

Came here for dinner on Saturday night. It has a cool vibe and alpine decor- check out the yak in the middle of the restaurant! We self parked in the garage which they validate for 3 hours (you don’t have to valet). The food is unique and very tasty but the portions are very small for the price point (2 really small pieces of deer for $55, 3 small frog legs, etc). The amuse bouche and complimentary sourdough rolls were delicious! The service initially was prompt though we could barely hear the servers since they speak so low. After our frog leg appetizers, there was a long lull before our entrees came out, during which the much larger table next to us had their dinner, dessert, paid, and the next table sat down before we received our entrees. There was no update from our server and no one checked on us during this time- we were forgotten in the corner. When we finally got our entrees (deer, smoked ducker) they were delicious but cold. It was apparent they were sitting there and had been forgotten about during the long wait. We alerted the waitstaff to this issue when they finally checked on us after we received the entrees, and the manager comped our dessert which was appreciated, but not enough of a consolation for a restaurant at this price point and for the high end restaurant they are trying to be. We had the white pepper ice cream which was delicious. We had to hustle out of there to make sure we were out of the garage within 3 hours (that’s how long our dinner dragged on). I’m assuming this was a one-off as other tables didn’t appear to have this problem. I would recommend others come here and check out the food and ambience, but don’t come very hungry given the small portions and high prices.

We went here after seeing it featured in the NYT best restaurants. The ambience was nice. The service was slow, somewhat inattentive, and sometimes brusque at times the sommelier. The Cosmo cocktail was very good. The food was fine. The appetizers were our favorite part of the meal. It's another buzzy place that I think is not worth all the hype.

The wait staff is awful for the price. No personality. No knowledge of food or wine. Sommelier was good. Very knowledgeable. Hostess was also mediocre.

I came here after I saw that it won the NYTimes top 50 restaurants in the USA. I take these kinds of lists with a grain of salt, however, after eating at Avize last night, I can say that it is currently the best restaurant in ATL. The food was creative without it being too crazily out there. Every dish was super delicious. The wine was also excellent and fairly priced. Service was perfectly lovely. Next time I'll try the frog's legs even though I don't normally eat amphibean!
