This was my first time visiting the Azotea Cantina and I love this place. The food was great and the servers were very polite and knowledgeable of menu. I will definitely recommend to friends.

Table to 2 for lunch I met a friend of mine at Atlantic Station, and we decided to try some Mexican food at Azotea. It is in a prime location right in the center of Atlantic Station. We entered and were seated quickly at a small side booth for two, close to the bar. Our server came by quickly and asked if we had been there before. We both advised, we had not. She gave a full rundown of the drink and food menus. She then took our drink orders, and we reviewed the food. My friend went with the Shrimp tacos, and I opted for the Pollo Frito--fried chicken tacos. The food came out extremely fast. I loved my tacos; the chicken had a good crunch, and the accompanying sauce had a little spice. My friend advised that his shrimp tacos could have used a little more seasoning, but he was going to make it work. We ended up ordering the Churros with chocolate sauce on the side. It was big enough for both of us to pick over. Overall, a very good first visit to Azotea. I will definitely come back on a warmer day to take advantage of the rooftop seating.

I'm always hesitant to deduct stars when visiting on a holiday but whew. We came on Cinco de Mayo early enough that we weren't waiting in line. This was my first time at this restaurant so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I'm sure it's simply for the holiday, but it was definitely giving lounge vibes. We sat on the rooftop and there was a DJ and free shots which made it super festive and fun. Now our service was absolutely terrible. We were seated and it took us forever to get anything done. Our waitress was completely MIA and when we did see her she was tending to other tables and not ours. There was a moment in time where we had asked for silverware to eat and sat there with our food in front of us for at least ten minutes before I finally had to go up and find her and she proceeded to go and get it. Similar situation with napkins. Literally had to babysit her for basic needs such as water, silverware, and napkins. The saving grace was the food and the vibes though. The food was pretty good. We literally devoured the guacamole. My steak tacos tasted almost like a Philly cheesesteak on a corn taco which was surprisingly really good and really flavorful. Despite the awful service, I'm chalking it up to it being a busy day. Interested in seeing the vibes of this restaurant on a random day.

Cinco De Mayo at popular locations aren't typically my thing, however, my friends and I decided we'd take a chance with this place. The location was definitely packed and the line wrapped around, however, the team were thorough, friendly, and were exceptional and meeting the demand. The venue itself is very nice and spacious. They have two floors, we sat on the second. On the second floor, there was an inside/outside feel with all posterior walls opened to a balcony with a Dj playing. The food was pretty delicious. We started with the chips and guacamole. I'm not a typical guacamole fanatic, however theirs was so fresh and presented nicely, I couldn't help but order some. For entrees, had the Birria tacos, Shrimp tacos, and Fried chicken tacos. The birria was surprisingly tasty, and they load it up with meat. The shrimp tacos were pretty mediocre, but you can't do wrong with them. The fried chicken tacos my friend has were outstanding and flavorful. I must say, I can in with no expectations, so it's safe to say it exceeded my expectations. I can only imagine coming here on a regular day.
