We finally got a chance to try Bahel after having it bookmarked for a while. As soon as we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, which was a great start.
The menu had several dishes we’ve had at other Ethiopian restaurants, so we ordered familiar items to compare. We went with the Bahel 1 Combo and chose chicken tibs, doro wot, shiro, gomen, and yellow lentils.
The food was ok. The Doro Wot had a sweeter taste than I'm used to, but it was decent, and the Chicken Tibs had a strong tomato flavor (not 100% sure it was tomato, but that's what came through), which didn't really work for me. The Shiro was excellent, though. I could've eaten that with some injera all by itself.
Overall, the experience was pleasant and the service was welcoming, but flavor-wise it didn’t quite hit enough for us to make it our go-to spot when we’re craving Ethiopian food.

Very welcoming. We ate ethiopian food for Christmas. The kids enjoyed the rib tips and I enjoyed the vegetarian combo and the sambusas were very food. 10 out of 10 on service, the restaurant was clean and it was open on Christmas day.

I will attempt to post my review again about this American tasting food that is supposed to be Authentic Ethiopian tasting food this is one of the worst tasting so called Ethiopian tasting food that I have Ever tasted, they had iceberg lettuce served on the injera bread with thousand Island salad dressing and the greens tasted like American turnips and the lamb tasted like beef this was such a disappointment to anybody's taste bud.

Whole family started throwing up after eating here. Called them to let them know their food may be contaminated. Told me the manager would call me back but they never followed up.
