We were deep in it, man, buried under papers and numbers and the hum of a future house, my wife glowing at seventeen weeks pregnant and me wired tight, scared to look away for a second in case the whole thing slipped through my fingers. Two days into due diligence and my mind was racing miles ahead of my body. Still, we said yes to Banshee. Said yes to friends we hadn’t seen in too long. Said yes to the night.
We walked in, and the place was already moving, already alive, music breathing through the walls, people leaning into each other, and then boom, there’s another close friend we didn’t expect, just standing there like the universe pulled a fast one and winked at us. That’s when I knew we were in the right spot. The kind of right you feel in your chest before you can explain it.
Our friends arrived, and we fell straight into it, stories tumbling out, laughter loud and loose, a little trash talk, a little love, all of it sweating the worry right out of our skin. Hours slipped by unnoticed, four of them gone like smoke, and it felt like time cracked open and let us rest inside it for a while.
The food kept coming, and each bite felt like a small revelation. Frybread slick with pepperoni butter, rich and reckless. Focaccia snapping just right. Duck seared hard and honest. I was full of warmth and noise and light and that deep-down feeling that this was it, that I was right where I was supposed to be, about to be a father, holding my wife’s hand, surrounded by friends, alive in the middle of it all.
Outside, the night grew louder. Bass from nearby bars thumped through the street. Cars flew down Glenwood like they were chasing something. I knew it couldn’t last forever. Nothing does. But before it ended, one of the owners came over smiling and dropped desserts on the table, no charge, just because. That kind of thing sticks with you.
When Banshee leaned fully into the night, and the room turned electric, something in me loosened. The pressure eased. The future didn’t feel so heavy. I felt like maybe, just maybe, I could run this life clean and true.
Thanks, Banshee, for the spark, for the fire, for the reminder to keep going.

We’ve been coming here for almost 4 years. Loved the place in the past. Both entrees my wife and I had were terrible . The fish I had was horrible. I could smell the fish while I was eating it. No taste. I thought I was eating a raw fish. Also, 4 % tax for the wait staffs health insurance. Get real. That’s the owners job.

I can understand why this restaurant has a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The quality of the food and drinks were amazing. The duck pasta was delicious and don't skip the fry bread with pepperoni butter. Tbe service was also great. Our waiter was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately I can't recall his name after such good drinks, but he had a ponytail and glasses and gave great recommendations. I will definitely be back as Banshee has quickly become somewhere that I want to live!

Great service, amazing food and drinks. If the turnips are still on the menu, they're a must get.

Banshee is always fantastic and so creative. I’ve long said one of the best meals and value for the meal in Atlanta. I always love everything I eat. One important mention is they currently are serving one of the best martinis I’ve ever had in my life. For my gin martini people, do not hesitate and get this one. It’s like a dirty martini but with their home made pickled carrot liquid and a delicious heirloom pickled carrot. New favorite cocktail for sure.

Parking is a mess for dinner on a late Friday night but it was worth the hassle. We parked on the streets in the neighborhoods and got a drink at the bar before our reservation. The drinks were great and the space is nice! The food was DELICIOUS. I would 100% recommend starting with the fry bread with pepperoni butter. That is a must have and the Japanese sweet potatoes are hands down the best sweet potatoes I’ve ever had. The Duck + fig plate I had was delicious and I’m glad I have leftovers. The Vegan Goods were good but nothing to die over. And finally the matcha crème Brûlée was good!

Hands down, one of the best meals we have had in Atlanta over the last 5 years. Max, our server, was so attentive. He could speak to everything on the menu and made wonderful recommendations. The food was stellar, each dish blew us away on flavor, presentation and delivery. Cocktails were on point. Each plate was a completed flavor bomb. We will definitely be back, thank you for the phenomenal experience!!

Food is amazing but jeez y’all need to CHILL. If I cannot finish a sentence with my date without someone rocking up under the pretense of filling my water but actually trying to flip the table faster, the vibes are in hell. I get the importance of turning tables, but the cost dictates that I should be able to enjoy my dinner and conversation. We were in and out in just over an hour, apps and drinks and all.

Overall it's a recommend. Starting with the location, it's fine. The atmosphere is pretty much what I'd expect for chef owned. Starters were crazy good, dinner was very good and dessert was good. I did have the chips/chocolate and the people in our group that got the banana 4x crushed it, so there's that. The drinks were absolutely perfect.
