Bar Blanc is heaven on earth for lovers of the venerable French classic – steak and frites. For a fixed $49.99 price tag, you get amazingly juicy steak accompanied by the traditional bearnaise sauce, superbly crispy fries, a very good baguette, and a salad to boot. It was all exceptional. Since we don’t drink, I can’t comment on the alcohol being served, but the many patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves considerably. While it’s a small bar, the ambiance is charming and somewhat hip. And the service was top-notch. Since they don’t take reservations, I’d recommend arriving early, otherwise be prepared for a long wait. We arrived with a party of nine people and had a great evening. Interestingly enough, I loved the fries the most. The steak was excellent, but the fries were some of the best I’ve ever tried. Thick and very crunchy, just like the doctor ordered. Will coming back very soon!

Saw all the reviews & pictures & looked very attractive to us. My gf & I sat down outside & loved the decor & a good ambience. The petit Syrah by the glass was very good. The bread was great. The salad great & I agree, maybe should be cut a bit smaller, as leaves were huge. The steak was incredibly tender & tasty, but mine did have a fair amount of gristle on the ends. That’s ok, as it’s NY strip & to be expected. The real letdown were the fries. They look amazing in the pictures, but they’re just too greasy & oily. You really can’t eat more than 5, before knowing you’ll feel a bit sick to the stomach. I’ve frequented France brasserie’s & had many a steak frites & these are too oily. There’s barely any potato in the middle, but more just crispy edges. So you’d never really use the limitless option, as you can’t eat that many. My girlfriend had maybe 3 fries. So overall i’d say the entire meal was great, but hopefully they can work on improving the fries.

I’ll NEVER return… right after I hugged the staff saying, “I cannot wait to return” because I was less than 2 min (which you electronically have to check from your electronic car drop off to electronic confirm return) while signing the bill they may not have the correct receipt so it’s not your fault you’re TWO MINUTES LATE but will DOUBLE YOUR PARKING CHARGE FROM $10 to $20 for 2 Min!!!! After waiting hours in traffic to get there bc there was an accident my guest way 30 Min late so I was penalized by using the restaurant parking. Don’t pre-tip anyone bc the tip should not be considered and only means you pay triple for the two minutes you wait to tip their staff. Not worth it. Food & staff was amazing at both restaurants but NOT worth the traffic, money, or doubled parking fees. No wonder the parking lot was empty and there were So many open reservations. Save yourself!

I came with a group of 9 ladies. The website says each person gets a steak, salad, fries and bread. When we are seated, we were told that our meals are going to come out family style. The prefix meal is not listed as family style. The ambiance is really nice and the service was great. But, I don't believe I received the meal that is advertised.

10/10 Excellent quality, very good & strong cocktails, nice vibe. Come early if you want to sit inside, it fills up quickly. Otherwise there’s a nice outdoor wraparound patio which is lovely. I will definitely be back!

Incredible meal! There is a wait, so get there early or be prepared to wait (we waiting for an hour). We found some tables in the back that were available for seating while waiting, which was nice. The service was great, food even better. Will be going back!!

Service was excellent. My cocktail was delicious. The bread was warm and fresh, the butter was soft with a sprinkle of sea salt. The salad was good but the lettuce leaves were too large and should have been torn into smaller pieces especially since the serving bowl was small. The steak was the let down. It did not have a lot of flavor and it had a great deal of gristle. Not what you’d expect when you only serve four items. Sadly, the star of the show feel short.

Really like this place, it’s small and old school inside. I like that the only option on the food menu is steak frittes. Our waitress was fun and friendly . The salad and roll are very good, the fries are amazing, some of the best I have had. Crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. The steak is also very good, the only negative with the steak is the portion is rather small. Drinks are great. Definitely look forward to returning.

If this was based just on food except the fire were burnt I'd be happy to review, but the entire experience was tainted with terrible service. Too much $$ for mediocre service. 240 was the bill and gave a too generous 50 tip. The hostess was the one that was the most attentive. I observed a lady manager in Green that was not involved at all. She did put glasses on a table for a reset Again, food was good service was not. Definitely other places you can spend your money. Sad truth because the chef does beautiful work with the steak.
This place is so good. I wish I could eat here everyday. It’s well worth the $50 per person and the service is 10/10. Highly recommend!

Underwhelmed. I had high expectations coming in after Little Sparrow, but this just wasn’t as good. We had a group of 4 at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, 8/14/24. There was no wait for outside and over an hour wait for inside, so we sat outside. Outside was very lovely!
Seeing as the only thing on the menu is the steak, that’s what we got. The fries were out of this world. The salad was fine. The bread was great. But the steak was average. My husband makes better steak at home. Bar Blanc’s steak needed seasoning. I feel like they rely on the Béarnaise sauce to provide the flavor, but even that was subpar.
Oh well.

My father and I got food poisoning yesterday from that place. And food was very greasy, salad was disappointing, the fries were burnt to crisp and soaked in oil, lacked flavor.
Only positive thing i can think of is that their cocktail was good.
