Group of 5 of us came into bar where it says “Seat yourself”.As soon as we sat down, someone ran over to tell us that we couldn’t sit there. We all got up and went to sit at bar. There were 3 bartenders there and not one of them asked us what we would like to drink after 20 mins. The bartenders were not busy, we would have understood that. We all got up and left. They obviously didn’t need our business.

Brunch on the Beltline was the order of the day. We’d heard of Bar Vegan, but none of us had tried it, so we decided to check it out! The restaurant has a great vibe and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a good variety of choices and the waitress was very helpful in making our selections. She informed us that there are no “take backs or exchanges on drinks or dishes” and that the “beef” dishes are Impossible Beef, as opposed to Beyond Meat. Which apparently makes a HUGE difference in the taste. From what I hear it’s an acquired taste and…yeah, I’ll pass! Especially since you’re stuck with it whether you like it or not. I appreciated the waitress being forthcoming about the menu, as she wanted our experience to be enjoyable. It was! The brussel sprouts were delicious and you can’t really go wrong with pesto pasta. The “wings” and tacos were good as well. The strawberry lemonade came in a bottle, which was a bit off putting initially. However, it was easily poured into a glass and enjoyed on the rocks! One thing several patrons disliked is the restaurant is paperless, so the checks were not printed out and given to you for review and keepsake. I’m not sure if printing was an option, but it definitely wasn’t offered, so we assumed it was not. Overall, we had a good dining experience and recommend you give it a try. It’s definitely a different experience for your average carnivore. But it’s a good experience if you’re open to trying new things (and we were)! The restaurant is nestled inside the Ponce City Market which offers an array of shopping and culinary options as well, which makes for a very enjoyable day!

I have to say the shrimp tacos were really bad. My husband enjoyed the one night stand burger, but said it wasn't exceptional. The fries were very good. The servers are kind.

The food was wonderful and so was the service. The reason why I rated it 1 star is because you’re forced to pay a 20% service fee that doesn’t even cover the servers tip. What I was told is that the server only receives about $1.50 from a $10 service charge. So we then had to leave an additional 20% to tip the server. The food was great but not worth paying 40% in service fees! I can’t believe that this is even allowed!

The food was good but BE AWARE OF THE GRATUITY….. the server didn’t even give us a chance to look at the bill. Our total was supposed to be $97 but she added gratuity without telling us and it was $128 she said that’s just the food so we tipped 20% ($25) and the bill came to $153…… I don’t know how this can be and they don’t answer their phone!!!!! SCAMMERRRR!!!! Ask for a print out receipt! SHE TIPPED HERSELF OVER 50%!!!!!

This food was so good. My friends couldn't believe it want real meat lol the energy during the Tuesday cocktail hour was so classic old school/ new school vibes. There was a live dj... It does take a while to get drinks because it's so busy. So recommend you order a few at a time lol but it's definitely a great after work spot or even date night. Also lady wear comfortable shoes during the cocktail hour. Seating is slim fast

Unfortunately they changed their entire menu and it’s not the same. At minimum, the Caesar salad needs to be brought back. MOST things on the menu is fake meat
Cocktails are great, food is good. My Boneless Lemon Pepper Chickn Wingz were very salty but the Cheezesteak Eggrollz were really good. Our server was excellent.

Besides the wonderful atmosphere and drinks, our server Alex was very neglectful. She took 15 minutes to come to the table and attend to us. In addition her energy and service wasn’t very welcoming either. In spite of this we still made sure to tip her because we understand being a server can be very taxing but all of this is very unacceptable and unprofessional. She will never be my server again.
