We dined here about 2 weeks ago while visiting Atlanta. We were a group of 5 people and were greeted with hostility at the door. The man at the entrance was rude. He was a brunette caucasian man with facial hair, I believe he said he was one of the managers too which is even worse. Then we were sat and started ordering and were greeted by someone else, an absolute ANGEL named Lamar. Now HE was very sweet and treated us all excellently. He was very professional and did a stellar job. I would only go back to this Bartaco if Lamar was taking care of us, not the rude man who first greeted us. I am a Bartaco regular in my state. The food was good.. However, the pork belly glaze was a little too spicy at this Bartaco, compared to the Bartaco I frequent back in NC.

I was so excited to try this location tonight but I sat at the bar for an awkward length of time ready to order and was never asked for my order, so I just left. I did go to the other location though after and it was great!!

Personally, I love a good taco, and a good drink. I have a great time when I come. Lavar and Michael are attentive, and make me feel welcome when me and my friends come. I will always return because of the great service!!

Enjoyed the outside seating. It was very pretty. I was here yesterday with a friend. The food was good but the server in the yellow shirt seemed unhappy and it was not the best experience with her.

I’m not sure what’s going on at this bartaco, but this was not an impressive visit. I would have rated lower but I’ve always enjoyed this and several other locations, so I’m cutting a little slack. Positives - Paloma was great, added Tequila Ocho. Chips and guacamole were still very good. Mixed. - Server was friendly, but not attentive and we were served half our meal and then waited at least another 10 min for the other half, which we could see waiting in the service window. We couldn’t get anyone else to jump in and grab it while our waiter did whatever else. It wasn’t busy.

I ate here on Monday. Paid the bill of $42 prior to being served, they charged me $62 which they didn’t correct. To make matters worst my husband and I got food poisoning. Never again!
Today me and a friend decided to stop by Bartaco on our way to a concert. It was such a different experience than what I expected, but the manager Lamar was so helpful, guiding me through the dining experience and for their not to be any designated servers I felt like I was so accommodated in so many ways. I truly thank them for starting off my night before my concert. Lamar is amazing. Keep rocking out guys.

I was searching for a placed to dine in on Taco Tuesday. I dined alone at the bar. Ordered the Bartaco margarita, which was way too sour due to them using freshly squeezed limes. But I could not take the sour so Tyler the bartender added agave, which helped but I still did not finish it. The drink was also super small, as was everything else I ordered. One-time thing as I will not return because where else in the world do they ask to put your card on file before ordering?

Went during the Labor Day with my bf and friend for brunch. Service was REALLY slow — we had to wait for a long time just for drinks, app, and entre to be brought to us. At some point, they messed up my drink order and had given it away for free to another customer. Granted we had changed our table, but there seemed to be lack of communication between staff and service to be improved.
Food was mediocre. The size of seared tuna was noticeably smaller than what it used to be, and the chicken karaage taco was just embarrassing bc it was just pieces of dried, fried dough drenched in sauce and could barely tasted the chicken. No complaints about the pork belly taco and chilled lobster salad wrap.
The drinks were fantastic and the bartender was really nice — she had apologized about the messed up drink order and thanked us for being so patient, shout out to her.
Overall we were not impressed by this visit and were all really sad to see how our once loved Bartaco has gone downhill. The restaurant is definitely understaffed and lacks food quality control. We will not be returning.
P.S. — pls do consider changing the wall “art” in men’s bathroom. My bf had brought it up and showed it to us, and as a woman I think it’s a very distasteful choice to have it even hanged up on the wall. Maybe replace it with another family portrait pic like the one you have in the women’s bathroom, lol.

I’ve been a longtime customer of Bartaco and they never disappoint. I love the pork belly tacos and the plantains with the dip! The plantains didn’t make the pic. They are so delicious?
