Usually service and food is good. Today the dressing was terrible, tasted like someone put a boat load of cinnamon instead of sage. Did not even taste like dressing, the baked chicken was dry. I was more upset with myself for not getting our usual meals, we wanted to try something different on the menu. Today was definitely money wasted, and it only takes one time for me to receive bad food. The only thing good was the muffin🤦🏾♀️

This is literally a soul food hidden gem off Cascade. I just happened to stop by when I saw the parking lot full. Everything I tried was delicious! Sweet potatoes, cabbage, greens, beef and rice, mac.& cheese, turkey wings, etc! Lol. They even have a daily special. Now, you need to order to go. So I would suggest calling your order in ahead of time.

I’m so sorry to have to write this but .. I didn’t enjoy anything about this food. I should’ve known when I walked in and saw nothing but older ppl waiting and ordering here. The last time this happened to me I found out real quick why this was the demographic.. the food is tasteless, chew-less… it’s giving GERIATRIC.
I wanted to order the chicken first but I saw the color and consistency of the “gravy” and decided against it. I knew where that was headed so I ordered the meatloaf and that was my first mistake. That was not meatloaf that was freaking DOG FOOD with meatloaf sauce slapped on top of it. It had no density. It literally was slop. Same exact consistency and taste as canned dog food and I’m so serious. That was crazy. I didn’t need any teeth for the food. I gave it to my dog and she ate it up like the dog food it was. I don’t even know what kind of meat that was. Had to be mushrooms cuz that was not ground nothing!!
I also ordered the broccoli casserole and it needed seasoning. Needed cheese. Needed more firm rice. I kept biting it looking for a piece of flavor. No.
The mashed potatoes were tolerable. They used that see through gravy that was on the chicken. Tasteless too but I’m thankful for that cuz imagine eating the cheap instant mashed potatoes with clear nasty slime.
I added cabbage and that’s the only thing that was decent. They weren’t seasoned well but just enough. They were extremely soft. Once again, you don’t need teeth to enjoy this food. But me & my dog enjoyed those.
The cornbread was cold and not memorable.
All in all, if you’ve got a long list of health conditions and need food easy on the stomach, flavor and teeth this is the spot for you. As for me, I can’t even think to step foot back into this place until I am of age. & that’s just my honest truth.

I've eaten here twice doordash the first time and came in the next time the food was pretty good both times, the oxtail were pretty tender. What I take away from is having to remember the menu, because half the menus are only served on certain days and the other half is served on the other days. So going in with a taste for something is 50/50. It's very tight in there, which can make you feel rushed if it's crowded, but they do offer call in and the online ordering is quite easy.

The good: The mac n cheese and cornbread were the show stoppers of meals ( Delicious). The tempature of the food was hot. The Bad: The dressing was dark brown and looked like brown sugar but tasted like stove top stuffing. The candy yams had a bitter taste and bad sweet potatoes mixed flavor.
The young lady that gave me my food had a bad attitude! When she brought my order to me she asked to see my receipt and then gave me my order, prior to leaving I checked my order and noticed I had 1 meal missing I got her attention and told her meal was missing, she ask if I was sure and looked at my cousin as if she had my meal, this felt accusatory. She then looked and my receipt again and explained to the lady in the back that she needed another meal , they continued to discuss why she needed anyher order. I FINALLY recieved my order 5 minutes later. My experience was just ok! Check your food before you leave, is what the sign says!
