This place was amazing!!! The chicken and waffles were perfect in seasoning and texture as well as the drinks, tasty and not to expensive. Over all an amazing breakfast place to hit up right before the aquarium!!!!!

I had the best brunch at Blackbird. We shared several entrees and all of the food was delicious and large portions. We had the smoked salmon, chicken florentine, soufflé, and the cheesecake waffles. The staff was attentive and the restaurant was busy. The restaurant is great! I plan to return soon.

Ate there just before all this Covid hit the fan and it was great. Stumbled on it on accident and it was awesome! Definitely one of the best brunches I have ever had so we will be back again.

This place seemed like a pop up restaurant. As many times as I've been to downtown Atlanta, I've never heard of or seen this place. I know it says it's been open for a while but I guess it was over my head lol. There are two separate areas to Blackbird. First area where the host stand is, there's the bar and more of a wooden area. The second area which seems more of the dining area was pristine white tables, white panted walls and the kitchen area. We weren't there log as we went in to have a quick breakfast before the gymnastics competition. What did we order? Well for beverages I of course had to have a Bloody Mary, my wife had her coffee and the two girls ordered OJ. We decided to split plates seeing that one we was in a rush, so we ordered the Stuffed French toast and Shrimp with Grits. Overall everything was good. Our server was probably the better part of the experience. She was intuitive and knowledgeable about the menu and tended to us the best she can with all her other tables. No one was neglected. We will be back. Btw my daughter annihilated the Stuffed French Toast lol.

Honestly, I wouldn't come back. The pictures of food online isn't what they had on their current dine in menu. No fried green tomatoes with crab meat . Our waitress wasn't very personable neither, so that kind of through of the ambience of the brunch.

If you have heard the expression "in Atlanta, we brunch," then you either live a prohibition-like alcohol free life and I support your slightly Puritan-esq lifestyle, or you live under a rock lol and not like under a Stone Mountain Rock because there's brunch over there too. Brunch is one of the most ancient southern practices of respite and self-restoration from the circadian hindrances of vocation through libations, sustenance, and group fellowship. In other words, we like to eat brunch and get drunk on mimosas with our friends to forget about the work week lol! My visit to Blackbird was no different First off, the location itself on the edge of downtown at Marietta St and Ivan Allen Blvd. I usually do my best to avoid restaurants so close to downtown because of the ridiculous parking situation I typically have to compete with, but there's a pretty affordable lot directly across the street, so we're in luck. - 4.5/5 The interior had a modern industrial look. Definitely loved the brick walls and the exposed air duct ceiling and what appeared to be some sort of stage in the back (likely for poetry or music). The furniture and layout were a hit. The decor looked well maintained. - 4.9/5 The service - our server was was very friendly and respectful. She checked on our table a healthy number of times. The food came out and we didn't have any silverware. One of the items we asked for no cheese and I came with cheese on it. Nothing of her fault. She still provided a great experience and remained professional - 4.4/5 The drinks - the menu had a lot or options that I would've loved to try! Definitely a good place if you're into signature cocktails and don't mind spending a downtown signature cocktail price. I believe I ordered the Marietta Mule or something like that. Don't ask me to quote the ingredients, but it was good. But for $13, I'll only be ordering one haha and my group split a standard mimosa carafe. It was definitely 60% champagne and 40% OJ. No complaints on the portions. Some places pour the other way around, so the drinks were on par with expectations. Pricey but good. - 4.7/5 The food - I ordered the Duck Confit. The last time I had duck may have been 2 decades ago, so I was unsure on how my palate wold react to the food. However, it was great! The portions were just slightly above Tapa Size and smaller than an entrée. Maybe next till I'll order a second entree given the portions of the meals. 4.1/5 Overall, I definitely enjoyed my time at Blackbird and would love to be back! Thanks for the food.

Austin was amazing; knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. It is very hard to find superior customer service these days. We are a party of 4 and about to leave because the menu looked limited. He immediately started describing the menu items, and made recommendations. Because of him, we stayed. He should train other servers!

Limited menu but pretty good shrimp and grits. The staff is nice and the ambience is chill.

The ambience, service and food was great but my Bloody Mary didn't hit the mark. Only reason for 4 stars. I will come back, it's very good!!!

My husband and I went for brunch looking for mimosas. The pineapple mimosa was AMAZING. The food was to die for and to top it all off our waiter austin deserves 5 stars himself. So kind and loved all the suggestions he had. Would 100% come back for the food but the service is what would make us come back time and time again.

Was very disappointed with Blackbird. The aesthetic was cute but that was about it. We got there for brunch and after seconds of looking at the menu we realized that none of the pictures on yelp are actually on the menu. That all fine but remove the old pics on yelp if your menu changes. We all ordered the French toast because that was the only reasonably priced item. It was good. Nothing special. Overall I would say it is just alright. Went there craving the pictures and didn't get it. Prices were a little high for food that was just alright. Would not recommend.

Poor service. Filled with cockroaches!!!! Horrible food. Not worth the money at all. I was highly dissatisfied.
