The ambiance here is everything! They have live jazz bands upstairs some nights and my bartender Nerian was phenomenal! I had the Nashville Buford hwy hot catfish po boy and it was fantastic and huge for a half portion! Will be back just for Nerian and the amazing food. keep up the great work Bon Ton!

This place slaps all day.
The Hot & Easy Sticky Chicken is delicious. They don't tell you to do this, but if you eat it like a lettuce wrap (think PF Chang's if you will) it's even better. This is actually how I prefer to eat my fried vietnamese egg rolls, with the lettuce leaf, pickled veggies, slightly sweet fish sauce - it makes for a great combination of textures/flavors/temperatures. Really wanted the green papaya salad, but they were 86 unforch. Next time.
Loved the crab boil, with the broth, potatoes, and sausages. Deliciously spicy and the crab tasted fresh. Wish I had read the other reviews about the oysters before ordering them. They were my least favorite. Something about the parmesan cheese/butter just overpowered the other flavors, and could not tell whether there was an oyster in my bite.
I must have gotten lucky with the noise level bc it was perfect. Nothing will ruin my experience more than jarring music/noise. Overall, there is an opportunity for improved consistency in the quality of menu items.

Cool spot with good food. I’ve lived in New Orleans for a bit but these were some of the best po boys I’ve had. The crawfish etoufee was always delicious.

I was there for an event in the upstairs space and had an excellent time so I don’t remember much besides well-shucked oysters and thoughtful service. One note for if you’ve never been. The sink upstairs may confuse you. Just pull the middle…. I’m glad I used my brain instead of brawn lol cuz it looked expensive. Kitchen’s prices were reasonable and thankfully they have a baseline gratuity fee so you don’t have to struggle with math at the end of the night. My highlight….. best martini I’ve had in quite some time. Thanks, K!

Super cool vibe. The food was definitely Viet-Cajun fusion. Pickled veggies on the the bánh mì/po-boy were a nice touch. I could have eaten a bowl of them alone. I wish the jalapeños were offered grilled. Cocktails were 5 out of 5! Really enjoyed this place and the service.

I don’t ever leave reviews but it’s sad how much I walk to support this place, but just things that bother me. The fries are a small box for 7 bucks, I get more when I dine in. It’s sad. They are also sometimes soggy, not sure how that happens. And every time I ask for sauce in bag it’s never there. Like I’m not posting this to degrade them because the food is usually great but just the little things have added up multiple times to leave this.

I discovered a METAL SCREW in my fried catfish upon chewing and trying to swallow my food. The screw was cooked into the food making it undetectable to the eye. I scratched my tongue and the inside of my mouth trying to chew and swallow the food as I thought it was a crispy part of the catfish. This was terribly alarming. I immediately returned to the restaurant and calmly asked to speak with the GM or owner.
The GM took my name and contact information and assured me that the owner would be in touch with me on Friday, June 20th. Out of respect, I waited for a call or email… It is now Saturday, June 21st 1:20 pm, and I still have not been contacted, even after sending an email this morning, June 21st, at 9:00am. The lack of accountability and acknowledgement for my suffering is disappointing.
That silence reads loud and clear that this restaurant DOES NOT care. Frankly, it’s unacceptable. It signals a failure in leadership and a disregard for guests' SAFETY and well-being.
When I brought this issue to the GM’s attention in person, her response was not only dismissive but also troubling. She stated, “It’s 10pm—what do you want me to do?” Unfortunately, a life-threatening incident doesn’t work on a schedule! If that screw had been swallowed or caused internal harm, a simple apology or refund would not have sufficed, and honestly, with trauma it has caused, still doesn’t.
Even more disturbing was her admission that she wouldn’t even be able to explain the issue to the cook because he doesn’t speak English. That tells me two things:
1.) She couldn’t possibly communicate the gravity of the situation to him.
2.) There is no way for him to explain how something this irresponsible happened.
That is a serious breakdown in SAFETY, communication, and accountability in your kitchen.
Please note that my interaction with the staff was recorded.
I wanted to give the owner(s) the opportunity to address this directly before escalating to the next steps.
Hopefully, BON TON will take this seriously and respond with the urgency and professionalism this situation warrants and PUT CUSTOMER SAFETY FIRST!
