We had reservations so we were seated pretty urgently.
We were taken to our seats where it was very crowded and cramped so much that we were bumping into guest getting to our seat.
We were seated then ordered drinks and appetizers with our waiter
which didn’t take long to come out.
After drinks and appetizers we put our food order in and we waited a long time to get our food but figured bc of how busy and wanting fresh food that waiting wasn’t a problem and the food will be worth the wait so we were cool about it no problem. WRONG !!!!
The food was salty and tasted like it was just reheated and served to us. Not too mention I had on a hair scarf that could’ve been for religious purposes & was told to take it off
When ppl had hats on. Both skully hats and fitted caps
Waiter had an attitude
Even went back and fourth about what we ordered and what she brought to the table
The tip is deducted automatically so maybe that’s why why she behaved like that
Like she didn’t care bc either way she was getting a tip
If you're hungry don’t waste your time coming here
The steak here is only made one way well done when
Everyone knows steak should be medium
I was in town for the onemusic fest & everyone recommended this place
Trust me you ain’t missing anything by not coming !!

⭐️ 1-Star Review: Unprofessional and Unwelcoming Service from Host “Rose” – October 26, 2025, 2 PM
This was my first time visiting Breakfast at Barney’s, and it was a huge disappointment. From the moment we arrived, the host Rose was rude, visibly irritated, and made us feel completely unwelcome. She seemed upset that we even chose the restaurant for brunch.
What made things worse is that she instructed us to wait outside in the cold, in the parking garage, with no effort to accommodate or communicate properly. After waiting for a while and feeling completely dismissed, we decided to leave. Only after she realized we left did she text us that our table was ready which felt petty and unprofessional.
The entire experience felt unpleasant and borderline hostile, as if we were being singled out and treated unfairly. No guest should ever be made to feel attacked or unwanted. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, the lack of basic hospitality at the front door was shocking.
Management needs to address this immediately, because first impressions matter, and this one was unacceptable.

we enjoyed the food so much we came here twice. Came on a Friday loved the server's energy and the food was delicious. Saturday was busy, the server that day was so so and not in a rush to get anything...
Despite the second experience, when in town we'll definitely stop here.

We came here after seeing some of different reviews thinking it was going to be in great .
We are just leaving now, we waited for over 1 hour for our food once we ordered. The food came one at a time and cold. There were five of us. I ordered a simple meal, Emperor’s breakfast, with eggs over easy, the eggs were over hard, grits were lumpy and our friends’ food took so long that I was almost finished with mine and was cold as well. We asked that we get hot food and put it to go container because we were tired of waiting and not having our food within a reasonable amount of time. The people that were sitting next to us four of them left because they had to wait so long without getting their food.
I will never go back to this place again

i mean to be very honest the service could be so much better. my first time going was a while back, i enjoyed it. no complaints. i’ve tried to go again twice, They NEVER, i mean NEVER answer the phone. i’ve called 3x back to back and literally nothing. another time i went i ordered TOGO, i asked to sit at the full bar to order drinks while we waited for our food, i was told i had to stand outside with my drink and wait for food. where does that make sense? why have a full bar with bartenders just not adequately use it? and the host was no better at explaining anything, she just kept saying no. anywho, i wish i could recommend this spot to others but i really don’t have much good to say. the idea is cool but the rest needs work.

This was my first time going. My date had offered to take me here. This was such an amazing place. The ambience was so pretty so green. I loved it as well as the drinks were amazing. love them love them. The food chef kiss the grits is a must have that was my favorite out of everything truthfully, the eggs needed to be a little bit more seasoned but the salmon croquette was amazing within itself so that and the grits helped make my rating go back up.

Came here today with family. We waited for 50 minutes and when we came to see if we could be seated we were told that we came too late even though we were never notified our table was ready. Once seated we waited another 20 minutes to be seen and that was only after asking yet again for a waiter. Our waiter was nice and apologetic but by that time we had been waiting for over an hour and were hungry. They were out of steak and after all that waiting the lamb chops to me were a bit salty. My other family member got the chicken and waffles, and another spaghetti and catfish they enjoyed their meals. We asked to speak to the manager not because of our waiter but because of our overall experience and after waiting yet again we did not get to speak to the manager. The atmosphere was nice but overall an underwhelming experience due to the service.

I was wondering why it wasn’t as busy as it used to be. I use to LOVE breakfast at Barney’s but after today I will never be back. The energy at the door was weird… we finally get seated it takes a server 30 minutes to take our order it then takes 30-40 minutes to get our food. We waited a too long to get food. Then had to wait another 20 to get our check? Ridiculous! Food was lukewarm warm just not impressed. I’m not even a picky person but I’m highly disappointed. Food was okay.

Best breakfast place, ever! The service was amazing, friendly and very helpful. The music was a great touch, added to the upscale vibe of the restaurant. You get a large portion of food for the price, which was more than reasonable. Had such a great time eating here, most definitely will be returning!
