Listen: under ordinary circumstances, I'd have given this place a much higher score overall. The service & ambience were lovely, and the food was delicious--but it gave my dinner companion & me some severe gastrointestinal distress! Otherwise, it would've been a great experience. Nowadays, restaraunts need to be more careful than ever about cross-contamination, because a lot of the food safety oversight has been eliminated. I'll still give this place another try, bc one incident isn't indicative of a pattern.
Bully Boy was all kinds of amazing from their creative cocktails to the grilled octopus, the smoked pork belly with an amaaaaazing sauce and slaw, the duck egg rolls, the mushrooms, the sushi, the super tender beef with potatoes and carrots. Omg it was such a treat for my tastebuds!! Kudos to the chef and My server was THE BEST with descriptions of the dishes and suggestions. Thank you Bully Boy for a great first visit. See you next time...because after that experience how could I not return!!
Got there when just opened Robert was our server.. very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was delicious
Great dinner with a friend at Bully Boy. We appreciated the small plate/shareable format and the oyster happy hour didn't hurt! It was a bit quieter than we expected which was fine for the purpose of our meal but may be a consideration when choosing to dine here next. Fav items: shrimp yakatori, gin cocktail
Beautiful restaurant with a great ambience and very cool open kitchen concept. The food was delicious, everything I had was fresh and great portions! Drinks were good as well, beautiful presentation. Service was a bit slow but I think the servers were a bit overwhelmed as the restaurant picked up going into the evening. Would definitely be back to eat!
I always enjoy eating here but the last dish we had was horrible!!! The dish was the shrimp Thai noodle. It was mushy and runny. The waitress even said it looked overcooked and different. She returned it and we were not charged. We will return but never order this fish again.

Great food and great service! Highly recommend sharing plates with friends to try an assortment. The mezcal cocktail also was a nice compliment.
Good restaurant, but I have some THOUGHTS!
A couple of friends and I thought we would try out this self proclaimed āclassy restaurantā for my girlfriendās birthday. We ordered sushi and a couple appetizers. It was good! Pretty much exactly what you would expect for the price - good quality and very tasty.
Unfortunately, I do not feel comfortable ending my review there! After dinner, the drama began!! Our waitress displayed a QR code through which we were to pay the bill. We scanned the code, and, surprised at the total, asked the waitress if it included gratuity. We were confused when she said no, but as the link had no itemized break down of the cost we were forced to assume she was correct. We left a fair tip and began exiting the restaurant. It was then that we received a receipt for our meal via email. To our dismay, they had already included a 20% tip!! Not very classy Bully Boy. Fortunately when we brought this to the waitresses attention she apologized and refunded us our additional tip. It may be that she simply didnāt know the payment processing service and they used added gratuity automatically, but I have a hard time believing we were her first customers required to use it. In any event, make sure you check your email receipt if you think the total was a little too high!
One more important noteā¦
The restrooms DO have locks which are unfortunately placed below (and obscured by) the LARGE door handle. At first glance, I was unable to locate the lock and feared being exposed to another guest seeking to relieve themselfā¦

Should be completely packed every day. So cute, such a warm atmosphere, service was excellent, and it was a flawless meal. So yummy and we had a great time. Perfect date and a great place to bring people from out of town too.

The atmosphere was great. Very pretty restaurant! Some of the dishes were superb. Some were so/so. I did not like how they relegated my soy sauce usage. lol. They brought me this tiny little ramekin with how much soy sauce they thought I should use. I had to stop halfway through my one roll and wait to catch a server's attention to ask for more soy sauce and more wasabi. I would have really liked to ask for more ginger but I felt too greedy. HA! Anyway, it was kind of bizarre. Also - straws! You are not saving the world by not having straws. It is super annoying to go to a restaurant that virtue signals by taking a stand on ... straws .... Of all things.
Had an amazing experience here with my friends for an early dinner. We ordered 2 dozen oysters, the miso cod, grilled maitake, calamari fries and the spicy yellowtail roll. Chris was super helpful and double checked the whole menu for me since Iām gluten free, and labeled everything. She also made the best cocktails ever for my friends based on their tastes, all super yummy. Definitely recommend!!
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly! Mostly comes from the sauces so they can exclude those or put them on the side for your other friends to dip

I had a fantastic experience at Bully Boy Atlanta! The ambiance was amazing (warm, inviting, and beautifully designed), creating the perfect setting for a great night out. Our servers were excellent, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. The only minor hiccup was that they were out of a few menu items due to the snowstorm, but thatās understandable given the circumstances. Despite that, everything we ordered was delicious and well-prepared.
Iāll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience in Atlanta!
Very nice. Loved it.

The crispy brussel sprouts were amazing, but everything else was ok and it all felt quite overpriced.
