Great aquarium, but outlandish cafeteria prices and basic fast food selection. Family of 5? Have at least $100 on hand... you can go out and eat at a regular sit down restaurant for the same price or less, so if that concerns you, do research on outside or brown bag food options before you go!Dietary restrictions: No options, just junk food

We were there as a family however the price was ridiculously overpriced and the food mediocre even our little 3 years old refused to finish his meal. The first issue: ordering through the thrive app. It mentioned 40 minutes wait and it ended up being over 1 hr. The line ended up being way faster and with what seems to be more options. So do not be intimidated by the long. Stay there. Second, I understand it’s a tourist place but food was not worth the price not by a shot. Awful. Never again

One of the best aquariums I have been too! The aquarium is quite pricey, but you can definitely spend the day there. I have done here a couple times and the last time was with my 10 year old daughter. She loves aquariums and we had an amazing time. We went around 10am on a Saturday and it was not too busy. I do wish we would have done an add on (encounter or dolphin show) because the price point is quite reasonable. They do sell food there, I amNot sure of the quality but it also seems busy. You are not allowed to bring food and drinks it according to the website (lunches etc). The aquarium is right next to the World of Coca Cola so you can visit both places if you have time!! Such a wonderful place with great staff.

Smelly! Like holy fishy smelly! I've been to aquariums and this one is the smelliest!! The walk under the aquarium and view area (presented by Home Depot) was the highlight. By far the coolest attraction. And the least smell

I literally cannot say enough good things about the Georgia Aquarium!!My husband visited on our anniversary trip, and we were both amazed from the moment we walked in! The atrium was all decorated for Christmas and it was so clean and beautiful! The staff were super friendly and excited to help and answer questions. We started our day with rhetorical Sea Lion Encounter. Y'all, I CANNOT recommend springing for this add on experience enough! Our group had a quick tour of the backstage facilities and then had 25 minutes full of nothing but sea lions! We met Peaches, Jupiter, and Katie during our encounter. We got to ask for behaviors from them, give them some gentle pets, and take some photos! The only negative here is that we only received our individual photos; I'm still in contact with support on finding the group photos. Still 100% worth it though! After our encounter we explored the rest of the aquarium and wow is it beautiful. I could have spent hours in the Ocean Voyager section alone watching the massive manta rays and whale sharks swim around and eat. All of the exhibits were well cared for, clean, and beautiful. At 1:00 we queued up and headed into the dolphin show. We paid for preferred seating, but I don't think it was necessary. It didn't look like there was a bad seat in the house! The show was touching and amazing all in one; the trainers here care about their animals so much! With our visit being on a Saturday I was sure we were going to have to fight through major crowds to see a fish or two, but we were pleasantly surprised by the average crowds we encountered on a Saturday! Everyone had more than enough room to watch the animals as long as they wanted. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend a visit to the Georgia Aquarium! It's a bit expensive, but SO worth the price!Pro tip: They've made parking here really easy with prepaid tickets that you can just wave and go. AND if you're planning on visiting the Coke museum on your trip, hit them both in the same day; it's right across the pavillion!

Visited the Georgia Aquarium located in Atlanta the day after Thanksgiving. It was so crowded and a terrible time to go. The cost is just under $50 which is very expensive. The shark area is very impressive, along with all the tanks. The Dolphin show is by appointment which we didn't know until we got there. We had to wait several hours to see it and we were underwhelmed. The show is less than a half hour.

There's lots of love for the Georgia Aquarium as it's one of the world's best aquariums. We were glad to have finally paid a visit while in the area as it's a must see in the Atlanta area, especially if you like aquariums. I just think I was too sleep-deprived to have fully enjoyed my visit here. With a long layover in Atlanta, we decided to check out the Georgia Aquarium, which was a good way to spend a few hours. In order to visit, you must get tickets ahead of time as they don't sell them at the door. On the same day, we easily were able to reserve tickets at a desired hour, so getting tickets is not an issue. It's about $50 for a ticket. When we arrived at the entrance of the aquarium, it was kind of hectic as there was a huge line that wrapped around, so we had to find the end of the line in order to get in. Then the entire time we were in the aquarium, it was so incredibly busy. It was packed with families, so seeing the marine life can be challenging since most of the time, there's a crowd right at the viewing areas. Not sure if it's always this busy since it was a Saturday we visited, but it was not the most fun experience, dealing with crowds of people, especially after having flown a red eye. There's a lot to see at the aquarium, with different exhibits throughout. In order to see any of the animal shows, you must reserve a time slot ahead of time, which we found out during our visit. Most of the shows were already full, so we weren't able to reserve a spot. However, we were able to get into the sea lion show towards the end of the day, which was fantastic! It was cool to see how the trainers and animals interact and learn more about the sea lions and how they're thriving at the aquarium after being rescued. That was my favorite part of visiting the aquarium. Because you'll spend a few hours here, there are dining options here, multiple gift shops and before you enter the aquarium, you get a photo taken of you that you have the option of purchasing at the end of your visit. When we visited during the holidays, there was a photo opportunity with Santa, which many of the families were waiting in line for. Overall, the Georgia Aquarium is a nice place to visit and you can learn more about the marine life here as this place is gigantic. It's easy to spend half a day here. I just can't deal with crowds, especially crowds of kids on no sleep. I also thought it was surprising that with how popular and big of a tourist spot the aquarium is, they don't offer a place to check in your bag or coats. Glad to have visited while in the area.

The Georgia Aquarium is one of the most beautiful aquariums in the US. I go to the Georgia Aquarium every time I am in Atlanta, and I'm amazed each time. The aquarium is split into different sections based on the type of animals and their habitats. You can go to River Scout and see an albino alligator and all fresh water animals. Or you can go to Cold Water Quest and see penguins and all animals that live in cold climates. The Georgia Aquarium also offer shows showcasing seals, sea lions, and dolphins. I was amazed at the wonderful show the animals performed. Also throughout the aquarium, they show the many ways they help the environment and animals to create a better world for all of us. The aquarium has a lot of visitors but it is so huge everyone is spaced out. Definitely come and check out the Georgia Aquarium if you are in or planning to go to Atlanta.

This aquarium is one I always must go to when I visit Atlanta! It is always such a joy to walk through and it is amazing to see the creatures they have. My favorite are the whale sharks, which just take your breath away to see in the aquarium. If you have kids this is perfect for them! You can bring a stroller and any snacks/food they may need. They do have a couple of shows (including the dolphin show with a splash zone).Tip: buy your tickets at least a day in advance online. This will save you money compared to buying when you are there or buying online the same day you will be visiting

I visited the Georgia Aquarium on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago and I had a great experience. Each area was unique and had a lot of educational information on the habitat and animals. I loved the dolphin show, it's definitely worth the time to go. We got to see the Halloween show and it was so cute and the trainers shared a lot of info on how they care and entertain their dolphins.

Save yourself sometime and some money, had a terrible experience waiting or even ordering for food, workers here look like they don’t want to be here, paid 28 dollars for a burger that tasted and looked like my high school meals and a hot dog that was, alright. Think it would’ve been cheaper to pay for parking elsewhere and get Waffle House.

Pricey compared to food at other attractions but the food is good and the portions are filling. Very busy at lunch but staff are efficient and the line moves steadily. The Bang Bang Shrimp is really good.Limited seating for the size of the crowd. Recommend having one in your party stake out a table while you work through the line.
