I'm not a coffee drinker, but love desserts. They showcase cakes, pastry, teas, and a few other snacks by Black Owned companies. They also have free WiFi and plenty of seating for those who want to hangout/work in a quiet space.
Being from Michigan, I was visiting family and friends in Atlanta and wanted to stop in to Cafe ULU. Food was great, Had the Lemon cake and Fruit Tea. Service was wonderful. Ken and Thomas were very gracious in explaining the history of ULU which means Us Lifting Us as well as their vision for the cafe. I had the best tuna wrap I have had in a long time. I was looking for a place to finish a report and possibly grab a quick meal. I didn't realize they also served single origin coffee. Today's offerings were from Cameroon, Ethiopia and Kenya. What a treat. The music was soothing as well as at a pleasing volume. This is what I really appreciated. Blaring music in the midst of a report is not fun. It has a great ambience and cheerful staff.
