Calaveritas Taqueria Vegana

I’ve been here a few times and they always have really good options. The flavors are super authentic!

Stop what you’re doing and go to Calaveritas. It was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. As a Mexican vegan, I am constantly in search of vegan food that reminds me of the foods I grew up loving, and I have a high bar for Mexican authenticity for any Mexican vegan spot. Arizona, Nevada, California, Washington, and my kitchen are all places I’ve had fantastic vegan Mexican food but always okay or mas o menos vegan birria. I’ve just accepted that vegan birria will never be the same. Then I had Calaveritas’ birria. Mind blown, soul cured!!! All their other food looks incredible, too. Huge portions, variety of options, and they had an animal rights group meet up the day I went. A gem!

The nachos were to die for! Probably my favorite meal while in Atlanta. Also ordered quesadillas which were delicious.

The food is so amazing, we literally went two days in a row. You absolutely need to come here. We were trying to think of a standout and the answer is everything! But definitely the birria tacos.

I would eat here everyday if I could. The food is amazing and the salsa is drinkably delicious.

I love their barria tacos. I come anytime I am in the area. I usually order ahead and pick them up but you can also order at the counter. They are located in the PREP office area with other small restaurant businesses. One day I will try other menu items but I'm hooked on those tacos and the consome!

Okay, Calaveritas is the real deal. I had the birria tacos and quesadillas, and this is hands-down the best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. The flavor? Insane. The texture? Spot on. You’d never guess it’s plant-based. If you’re vegan or not, go here immediately.

I’ve been getting food from here since they had a spot at the vegan food truck park in Atlanta and they NEVER MISS!! They’re Always super friendly and the food is fantastic whether you’re vegan or not. I highly recommended!!

Great vegan food made by superb people! The birria is a must try, but the tacos and nachos are also amazing! This place is one of the few restaurants we eat at anymore :p
