This place has gone down since new owners. I have been eating here over 20 years. Tonight 5 of us are a substandard meal with terrible service! Trying to get the small bowl of rice refilled or waters refilled is impossible! And when we got the bill, it had a 20% tip already added! When you get the credit card voucher, they ask for more tip! No where are you informed there is a mandatory "tip." I wonder if this "tip" goes to the staff and are taxes collected in these charges. When I questioned, I was told the old owners charged the same amount. I told them I had been coming there 20 years and that was not true. She said I was wrong. Upon leaving, another customer overheard and told me he had been coming there a long time as well and that I was right. They charged his party of 3 an 18% tip. My last time going there

Came here to eat on Sept. 14th with my family. We rarely eat out anymore because lately it's turned out to be such a disappointment, but we ventured out in search of good Chinese food.

I believe we thought we were going to another place that my Mom had seen online, but after seeing the reviews we decided to search this place out. I've lived in GA off an on for many years and from the look of this place it's probably been here for some time. Also from the look of the crowd, it seems to be a fav with the locals.

I started not to leave a review thinking that maybe it was just us and perhaps something messed with our taste buds, but I just pulled my receipts out to toss it and relived the experience all over again. I ordered the lo mein which I was told would be skinny noodles and I should've known then that it wouldn't be what I wanted, and it wasn't. It was very salty and inedible.

Before that even hit my mouth, I was busy trying to wash out the taste of the pork dumpling that I actually did have to send back because it was so pasty, dense. Potstickers are some of my favs and usually the only time I will eat pork, these were so bad. We switched for the egg rolls which was better.

My daughter always plays her meals safe and just orders beef and fried rice, after a few bites, she couldn't eat it saying that the texture was really slimy. My mom got egg foo young, the gravy had zero flavor and was just bad. We paid, because what was the point in arguing. We would have all had to send our food back and we were too hungry to do that... $68 later we just took the L. We all had to toss our meals.

I will say that there were other patrons ordering food that looked much better than ours.
The customers were rolling in steady and there were many take out orders. So maybe people have different tastes buds... IDK.
Good luck

Food was horrible. Crab Rangoon were soggy, had a bitter taste and smelled of old grease. Sweet and sour chicken inedible because old grease smell and taste was too strong. White rice was so sticky I couldn't dry it out. Worse food I've ever had drlivered.

Sesame chicken was under cooked. Every piece was still pink. Do not waste $20 here.

We will never come back to this restaurant after the way we were treated. We have been loyal customers of Canton cooks for over 20 years. We knew all the workers, and workers knew us. A couple of months ago we ordered salt and pepper squid - something this restaurant has been famous for. We have been ordering this dish for many years, but that time it came out horrible, it was very greasy and soggy, it was basically inedible. I politely complained about it, the water took it inside and cooked it more only making the matters worse. I asked to take the dish off the bill because it was impossible to consume and they did so. Yesterday, when we came in, it didn’t look like anyone was interested in serving us, no one was coming to say hi or have a small talk about how life has been like they used to. The younger owner lady was walking by and we asked if she could take our order. We wanted to order the squid again believing that the last time was just fluke. However, she told us that she would not sell it us because “nobody complains, only you complain.” At first I thought she was joking and said i promise we won’t complain, but she kept refusing. I was basically insulted in front of my family. My 11 year old son was so deeply upset because he grew up eating in this restaurant and it was his favorite place. I could not believe that instead of owning their mishaps, they decided to lose a good customer. We are a family of 4 and it’s easily a $100 bill. I will make sure to tell all of my friends to never go back there.

This is the second time I have ordered food from here that includes rice, and they obviously know nothing about cooking rice, but they do know how not to waste time ringing you up those ridiculous high prices they charge for those undercooked foods.

I will give them a 5 star for thier eggrolls, they are very good. But they seem as if they like to rush everything and for the amount I paid, to have half of the meal wasted from being undercooked is a damn shame.

They were a last minute choice on 2 occasions, but never again, yall will not have me in the emergency room puking my guts out from improperly cooked foods, shame on you guys. I would love to see some inspectors take a look at thier kitchen and staff. But cops eat here all the time and I am sure they are well taken care of, so that inspection would never happen.

The employees are rude. When they took out my order, instead of shouting the name for the order, they shouted doordash!!! I mean how is it better to shout doordash??
