Canton Cooks Chinese Restaurant was a major disappointment. From the moment I opened the containers, there was an unpleasant odor, and unfortunately, the food didn’t improve from there. The pork dumplings were tough and unappetizing, the Kung Pao chicken was overly greasy, and the chicken fried rice was bland with rubbery chicken. Overall, the meal lacked freshness and flavor. I won’t be returning and would suggest trying another spot instead.

The staff’s demeanor was unfriendly, and the food quality was subpar. The egg roll was dry and chewy, which was disappointing. The mixed vegetables with chicken were lacking in vegetables and had a bland taste. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant.

I've always gotten deep fried potstickers but after the management change that's no longer an option 😵

Canton Cooks is definitely a staple of Chinese food in Atlanta. It was one of my favorite places for family style Chinese when I was little. I’m sure they’re great for a quick lunch, but we usually only came for dinner always with a party of at least 7. They are great for large parties. They have an extensive menu and you used to even be able to order things that weren’t on the menu if you knew what to ask for! Their Wonton soup is second to none and they have a great sauce they make in house. Great memories here, I always think of my dad who passed a few years ago now when I come here. The lady at the front is always so nice and it is a real old school Cantonese restaurant. When we have a large party and I’ve ordered everything I can think of the chef often will bring extra wings or something out for my kids. They have slowed down over the years and may not be in their peak, but still some of the best Chinese food around. They’ve always had the same wait staff and great service. I’ve known them pretty much my whole life and will be sad when/if they close.

Always excellent food. I love all the dishes. Always fresh, well prepared, and delicious! I love their general tsos, lobster with ginger and green onion, salt and pepper calamari, and legit egg rolls. Dragon soup is great. The shrimp and snow pea tips are also yummy.
Friendly service....and a nice fortune cookie and oranges after the meal.
Thanks!

I just ordered take out for the first time here and I have to say this was some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I ordered chicken and broccoli. The food didn’t seem like it was freshly made, more like a buffet style. The chicken had soggy batter on it, which was a first for me experiencing this. The egg roll and chicken wing they give you tasted stale. The fried rice wasn’t the traditional fried rice I’m use to, just white rice with some soy sauce mixed in it.
The people seem nice but I will not be back.

Enjoyed the vegetarian lunch specials. In and out quick for a good deal.

Their lobster is very expensive, at the end they game us some pieces of bad quality unflavored cantaloupe, the food is ok. They add the tip to your bill.

Food was ok but absolutely no service. We had to ask for water and rice refill but we got the check in the middle of our dinner so I guess we are not welcome here. There were 3 other tables that kept getting attention but ours.
