The Capital One Cafe in Lenox is largely impressive. I regularly visit a number of independent cafes in the Atlanta metropolitan area and in terms of taste profile it beats over half of them.

The service end has been largely excellent, minus one employee who has been curt and quiet in the past—that’s fine, I worked in coffee for years, and I know it can be draining. However, my experience with her today escalated from curt and quiet to condescending and dismissive, and that is not acceptable.

I was in a rush, ordered a drip coffee and an iced americano. After paying, I was told politely that the batch brew had run out, and they needed to prepare more by another worker. Again, that’s fine, at high volume on a weekend running out from time to time is inevitable. A bit after that, realizing my time crunch, I asked the orange haired women working bar if it was possible to sub the drip coffee for a hot americano. She promptly responded in a demeaning tone: “Sir, that drink is a different price”. I know at every cafe I’ve worked at, when we inconvenienced a customer with a delay we did not inform them of prior to their ordering, we were happy to make reasonable substitutes as an apology. Perhaps she was not authorized to make such substitutes, if so then she could have simply replied: “I’m sorry, I’m not allowed to substitute drinks”.

A few moments later, I went up to her and stated the following, thinking perhaps she did not mean for it to come off rudely: “I apologize for bringing this up, but I’ve worked in coffee before, you could simply have to said you weren’t allowed to substitute, what you said came off as condescending.” I was met with curt dismissal, avoidance, and a tone that can only be described as scornful.

I have had a great experience with the rest of the staff any time I have visited, and do not believe this one employee reflects on the business as a whole.

The coffee is great, most of the staff is great, but your experience can vary.

I went to the only Capital One location in metro Atlanta for assistance depositing check too large for mobile deposit. After driving 40 minutes, I discovered it's nothing but a fancy ATM location next to a coffee shop

My wife & mother-in-law stopped in for coffee and were treated to it free of charge—purely out of the kindness of, I assume, the manager or owner. That was unexpected & nice!

I had a really disappointing experience at the Capital One Café. I specifically asked for oat milk in my drink, but they gave me almond milk instead and I have a serious allergy to almonds. Thankfully, I caught the mistake before drinking too much, but this could have ended very badly. If you have a nut allergy, I strongly advise against going here. Staff need to take dietary restrictions more seriously.

Fantastic location! I came in to solve a minor issue with my Cap One account and Dee, the Ambassador who assisted me, was very helpful and we got everything figured out. I was seen immediately and we got the issue resolved within 15 minutes.

This location is really great, even if it isn’t a full bank. There are ATMs and a machine to print cashier’s checks for no fee which is fantastic. You can make deposits and withdrawals with ease.

Unless you need to do something that can only be handled by a physical teller, this is really all you need.

The Cafe wasn’t the main focus of this trip but I did stop by! Cap One customers get 50% off all drinks at the cafe. My (complementary thanks to Dee ☺️) iced mocha was fantastic and the line was very quick and efficient, and the associates were very friendly. It was a busy Saturday with a Braves meet and greet event going on too! Got some cool Cap One/Braves swag out of it.

Drew was exceptionally. First it is so nice to be greeted by someone so polite.
Next he was knowledgeable and was able to help us complete our bank transactions.

And finally the icing on the cake he walk us to the Cafe.

Kevin was our Capital One Ambassador this morning and provided exceptional support. He was patient, efficient and provided guidance and education to my son who was setting up new accounts. He went above and beyond in helping him get space to take an interview and even asked him how it went after. So thoughtful, thank you, Kevin! You are the best!

I had an excellent experience at the Capital One Cafe in Lenox! Kelsey was incredibly helpful in resolving a tricky deposit issue I was having. She was patient, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was sorted out smoothly. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor really turned a potentially stressful situation into a positive one. I highly recommend visiting this location.
