We eat here every year when we fly home from Atlanta at the holidays. The food is always great. Salmon salad, steak and potato salad, quesadillas, and burgers are phenomenal. Today Leslie took care of us and she was one of the best servers anywhere. Also, the cooks who made the salmon with special orders were terrific. Thank you so much.

I made 5 guests total upon arrival and it took 15min to get first beer, I first ordered an Ultra only to wait 5 more minute to find they were out of ultra and was offered a miller light instead? I finally settled on a blue moon draft only to watch it set by the tap for 5min after pouring while the bartender was making drinks for people who arrived at the bar 15min after me. I went to the bar and ask nicely if that was my beer and if I could take it before it went flat and warmed, but the bartender continued making other guest drinks and said he would bring it to me shortly, while a server did the right thing and slid me the beer. The bartender took the time to ask if I wanted and orange wedge in the beer, but this is typically traditional for a blue moon. Shockingly the orange wedge had a spot of mold on it upon receipt of the drink. I finally was able to order food after 20min of waiting and made 2 seemingly simple requests, well done fries and a medium cooked burger. After another 15 min the food was delivered. The fries were a few degrees above room temp and barely cooked, while the burger was very well done, both contrary to my simple requests. The tomato and onions on the burger were mush, apparently soaking in a food prep container for several days. This place was a total disaster and can not recommend it to anyone.

A step above the typical hotel bar, Champions is a great sports bar... the only downside being hotel prices.

We stayed at the Marriott Gateway and we had a couple of restaurant choices with walking distance. We picked Champions based on a good variety of food. We had the shrimp quesadillas, lemon herb chicken, and blackened salmon. Our waiter was very diligent in following up with the chef on my dietary requirements. He was very pleasant and had a great smile. We greatly enjoyed the food and its atmosphere. By the time we left, the restaurant section was almost full. We really liked our experience at Champions!

Fired chicken sandwich was good. Plenty of sports on TV. Staff was friendly but but not fast since it was busy for the number of people working there

Let's talk about the food first since it's the most important thing. There are several choices on the menu yet all of them seem to be bad. Some highlights of our disaster meal were the peach cobbler that tasted nothing like peaches and had way too much nutmeg because who hasn't said to themselves you know what's missing in this peach cobbler? An entire cup of nutmeg! Not to mention there was less filling between the crust than a dry pop tart. And while I could swear we ordered a medium burger and lemon chicken apparently with the cooks heard was that we wanted a well done burger and a medium rare lemon chicken with vegetables so hard I almost chipped a tooth. In case your chef doesn't know al dente does not mean break a tooth- no thank you that's a hate crime against all Italians. Also are fries did not know if they were coming or going or if they were crispy or soft the only thing they knew that they were was unseasoned. This of course was a complete contrast to the soggy salad we received that had enough dressing for 5 salads and enough salt to melt snow.
As for a server, Peter, he was one of those annoying needy people that clearly think the entire world needs to like him and really needed to give us some personal space to eat our meal. The guy is clueless and probably has no real friends. Everything came out like warm yet he had all the free time in the world to give around us and make us feel awkward

Good food in a spot with very limited options. Expensive but that's a given for a hotel restaurant.

We had a layover in Atlanta and stopped here for Dinner. Our server, John, was FANTASTIC. Prompt service, super friendly and very fun to talk to. The portions weren't huge, but that's what we wanted! Just the right amount of everything :) Thank you, John, for a good experience here!

OMG!!!! ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!!!! The restaurant, our server, and the food were top tier!! We were referred here by a friend and they were 100% correct about this place. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Our compliments to the chef!! The peach cobbler was the icing on the cake (so to speak) 😋. Our server, John, was exceptional and so helpful. He is a shining star!! Our overall experience is one that will have us coming back whenever we are in the Atlanta area and telling friends/family about Champions.
