Char Korean Bar & Grill

I've visited Char several times before and always had a positive experience. Tonight, I brought my wife because she loves Korean BBQ. However, to my great disappointment, all of the things I typically order were removed the menu. The menu is extremely limited now and quite honestly, boring. The food tasted fine, but I was very bored by the standard meat on the grill and white rice combo. The drinks were mediocre as well. I don't think I'll be back for a while, this experience was a huge disappointment. Please add something exciting to the menu.

Great atmosphere and service. We had the chicken and pork belly. The chicken was good with plenty of sides. KFC wings were very good and has some kick! Tasty cocktails.

Parking: Free parking across the street in parking garage. Paid parking behind restaurant.

Great food. I guess we just happened to be there at peak time or when they were short-staffed.
It took over 10mns to get drinks and another 35mns just to get our appetizer . We wondered if the service was free because we asked and waited for our check for 20mns.
Overall, however, food and ambiance were good. I might give it another visit.

I went to this place recently for the first time with some people who hadn't been in about a year. When we sat, immediately we noticed the menu had been pared down and no longer had the tofu options they used to have (in the end they happened to have some in the back and made it for us, which was lovely). So if you are vegan, or vegetarian and don't like shrimp, you're SOL here. Also they were out of mushrooms and the dumplings.

The worst part about this place was the atmosphere. When we sat, the music was at a very appropriate volume for a restaurant. After 15 or so minutes, the volume was bumped up so loud my table couldn't hear each other talk. I asked our server if the music could be turned back down, and he said the owner liked it that loud, and turned it down a tiny bit. Of course, once it got loud everyone started shouting, and the small restaurant became a cacophony of loud music and shouting. The food was just fine but VERY overpriced. The $19 marinated chicken got me just 2 small strips of chicken that were half fat. No one that was in my party is ever going back there.

Found this place by accident. Kristenthe assistant manager was amazing and Leo the general manager! Played a game of chess, great conversation and amazing drinks! Will be back for food! Such great people!

Worst Korean BBQ ever…. Took them half an hour to defrost their meat and the Wagyu is dry like towel, and the vent is broken so the whole restaurant is covered in smoke

Shout out to Mandy the bartender, she really took care of us and was an amazing bartender and that being my profession I don’t say it lightly! Visit here and have her as your bartender you won’t regret it! -Dre

Food is sub par and portions are expensive for what you’re getting. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that have significantly better food for a similar price point. Service is good though.

I went in for take out and ended up grabbing a drink while I waited at the bar. Amanda was exceptional with her service and recommendations. I will be back to dine in for a more thorough experience. Food was ok . Portion sizes aren't the biggest, especially for the amount your paying for the items . Also the GM Leo was very nice and made me feel right at home .

Very cool place and in a great location. Our server Jon was very attentive and catered to our needs. Also funny! Only downside is they don’t offer unlimited meats like other KBBQ spots.

This place is awesome, great food and drink but our waiter Jon makes this place he was helpful with the food and drinks selections but just over all experience. Must try place and ask for Jon

The couple times I’ve been to Char I’ve had Jon as my server and both times he was so chill and helpful. KBBQ can be a bit of an intimidating experience if you don’t really know how it all works and he was so good at explaining how it all works and giving recs on what to order. Made me feel totally comfortable in a new experience.
