Checkers has been pretty good about Food and Service and overall been a really positive experience. The only reason I took of 2 stars for the atmosphere is the generally the cleanliness and the location. Generally I feel like the restaurant is pretty good, but could be cleaner but that's a very small issue. The main issue( is the location, as many people have pointed out , there are a homeless people around and near the checkers and , usually they don't cause problem,...

The food and prices are solid, can't really complain in that capacity. The service is usually pretty bad but the place seems understaffed so I can't be too upset about that. The problem is the location of this place, I go here since it's right next to my apartment but I absolutely cannot recommend that someone staying at one of the nearby hotels for instance, comes. This is one of the most dangerous blocks in the entire city, the racetrack that this checkers used...

The staff was very friendly. I loved the food. The service was quick and nothing to complain about. But note that there is no restroom at this checker's. Also the locality is a bit sketchy with many homeless people nearby. Would not recommend it for families.

Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. The locality does not appear safe.
