Cinco Mexican Cantina

Point of story: Restaurant stole from us. Called ahead of time to make sure they had live music and was told they did, arrived and they did not have live music. Annoying, but whatever. Get seated and our waiter took 10 minutes to take our drink order and greet us. We order our drinks and a cheese dip and our food since it took so long to be greeted and then we are never approached by our server again for 15 minutes. I then get up and flag them down to get our drinks and ask about the cheese dip, then he brings our drinks out. Another 20 minutes go by and we still didn't get our cheese dip so i was trying to find our server to just cancel the order but couldn't find him. Another 10 minutes go by and cheese dip and our food comes out. Everything was very subpar and lukewarm, so had been sitting out for some time. With this experience i told my husband to not tip, so we put $0 tip. We now check our bank statement as it has posted and see our $60 meal turned into a $100 total posted charge. So not only is the service terrible, but they are theifs as well.

Very fun atmosphere and even better food. We got take out and the quality was still there ?

This is not Mexican food. The salsa has an alcohol/fermented flavor neither of us native Texans liked (at all) and they try "innovative" things to dishes and just fail at any flavor. The heat is not hot. The cheese sauce was flavorless, even with the meats put in it. The only decent dish was the al pastor. The art on the walls was amazing and the setup/bones of the restaurant are great. They just need someone to know how things are supposed to taste.

Not worth wasting money. All of my chips were crunched up when they can to the table it’s a nice atmosphere but the food quality is low very empty at 4:00 in the day time nahhh B. After I checked out they came around to ask if I wanted more chips ???

Seemed like the waiter didn't care to be there, it all went very slowly, in addition they put 20% on the bill for the big group, we were 8 people.

A long time friend and I decided to meet for food and drinks to discuss her wedding. There was no host up front and we waited for over 10 mins. I had to call the restaurant to tell them we were waiting to for over ten minutes.

Someone comes to the front and tell us it’s gonna be 10 additional minutes, we looked around and no one was there. So we went down the street to “The Border”

The waitress is a good person but unfortunately the cook is not good, the risotto is hard and the rice is hard ?

The burrito is nothing to write home about. Very bland and thrown sloppily together. I feel like you have to be drunk to enjoy this food. Unfortunately, I was sober.

Tonight was my first time trying food from here. I got the lobster and shrimp cheese dip and steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas. I ordered takeout and the wait was ridiculously long. The bartender did offer me water which was nice. However, the food was ok the chips I got were not fresh and seemed a little stale. Also the salsa had a weird taste to me. The dip was ok not a lot of lobster or shrimp. The fajitas were pretty good, I would probably come for those again. So not the absolute best experience, but not the worse either.
