We were at City Winery for the MacMacAnally show last night (he was great!). Our waiter was named Andrew, and he did a fantastic job throughout the evening. He anticipated our needs, was very friendly and kind; you just don't see that thing very much these days. We really appreciated him and all of his efforts! Thank you Andrew!!

I really enjoyed the performances at city winery. The wait staff is always great and will give you their honest opinion about the food selection. The ambiance is amazing and there is no bad seat in the room.

Went to see Violist Demola. Seating process was good. Considering the number of people in attendance, I thought the service was great. My personal server was a good guy. He was super slow with our drinks, but it seemed like he was new so I understood and he made up for in the end. The food was awesome. I had the hot honey pizza my girlfriend had the chicken Caesar salad. She kept saying how good it was. Well run place.

The food was horrible for brunch!!! Mac and cheese way overcooked. Very overpriced for the menu.

It's great to be able to go to an smaller, intimate venue to see live performances of talented artists. Kudos to "City Winery" for bringing that to the A and intown, at that. The seating arrangement for me was weird. Being a small room, there really isn't a bad seat in the house but something should be changed so that you are not sitting with your back to the stage. It was weird. So be mindful of how your table is turned. Weird. I did have some food from the menu - tapas style. I had the char-grilled octopus and the lobster risotto. The octopus would have been acceptable but it was smothered with an overly salted sauce that may have been good for pork chops but just didn't work for me with the octopus. The risotto with over-cooked lobster was just okay and had an under-taste of soap or something. The menu pairs the food selections with recommended wines. I opted for the day's signature cocktail - a rum punch that was quite tasty with just the right amount of alcohol. I had two. Will I come back? Yes! City Winery puts me in the mind of the good ol' days of live music venues and the ghosts of places up north like Boston's Paul's Mall, The Jazz Workshop and even The infamous Sugar Shack. The performances were really good, the sound was at the right volume (which is tricky for a small venue). The service was pleasant and attentive. My advice: The seating can be weird so choose carefully and eat before you go or plan to afterward.

The show was fantastic, Lalah Hathaway was awesome. The tables are a bit close and small. Other than that we had a great time.

Micah was a very attentive and helpful waiter. I loved his recommendations. The manager Steve was also prompt and efficient and greeted me with a smile. Thank you!
