Phenomenal food. Blend of South African and Jewish styles. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Patio is nice but can be sunny early in the morning. Baked goods are amazing. Elizabeth was a great server and went out of her way to get us a great spot in the shade on the patio, which we really appreciated!

The food was really good you can tell they use quality ingredients to cook their food. A bit on the higher $ for the amount of food but still was good.

Daily Chew is great on a day that’s mild enough to sit outside. Inside on a Monday lunch? Loud. So loud. Even in the bathroom I couldn’t get away from the conversation at the table just outside. The tall ceiling is an echo chamber. I want to say the beautiful grains bowl was worth the sacrifice of conversational clarity but… I really love the friend I lunched with so no. Next time will be a mild day. Outside table. No shouting.

Holy moly, that was the best hummus I have ever had! I'm a big sucker for Mediterranean food so I have tried many hummus plates in my life—this has to be the best of them all!

What a lovely spot. Food and service were excellent. Clean bathrooms too!
The only thing that's difficult is parking, at times. Would go again and again.

Had a caramel oatmilk latte (delicious) and the brisket sandwhich (fresh but needed more flavor…seasoning..finesse).
I would def try this spot again (perhaps a diff menu item like the smoked salmon pita)
Great over all experience

I came back today to give them another chance..
That brisket sandwhich gets a 1/5 for effort..it’s not it yall..no flavor..whatsoever
But this smoked pita with avacado…boyyyyyy that’s a show stopper. Comes with a tasty salad too. I also had the chocolate chip tahini cookie and another latte. This experience redeems that flavorless brisketsandwhich tenfold (when I say flavorless..I mean I had to go home..pull out the cast iron..butter it..season it..whip up some blackberry chipotle bbq sauce, and reimagine the sandwhich to make it edible ((by my standard))).
This smoked pita is amazing!!! Amazing coffee.. 5/5 for today’s experience
Nice vibe/aesthetic, great music, cutesy vibe

The truffle chicken salad is a must try! Also the latkes and the sauce they come with are amazing - make sure you ask for some of their hot sauce, too!

A cozy restaurant located right behind Club Onyx. They have delicious lattes and drinks, tasty meals, and friendly service. +5 points for having a dog friendly patio.

Really good bread. Can veganize things.
Review update from previous 5 star review. I emphasize that the food is great, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is really nice. However, on a recent visit (Father's day so busier than usual) the following happened:
(1) The server missed my daughter's food order. She's 4 and that can happen and after we had waited about 30 min for her food to realize what had happened they were very nice about it and comped us pita and mistakes happen but then also
(2) we had booked a table because Father's day, and they took a $25 booking fee/deposit which they explicitly said would be applied to the bill on the day which is absolutely fine in principle but they didn't and have not responded to email asking for clarification, and then on top of that
(3) we were really happy they have vegan cake and ordered a slice of the vegan vanilla cake to go, and something had gone horribly wrong with this cake, the frosting was so bitter it was inedible, this cannot have been by design.
That's a lot to go wrong for one day. It makes me sad to write all this because I do overall love the food, staff and atmosphere.
