I can say that this is my favorite new brunch spot!
If you're on the hunt for a brunch spot that perfectly blends a cool and cozy atmosphere with truly delicious food and drinks, look no further than Daily Chew! From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a vibe that's both effortlessly stylish and incredibly welcoming.
the ambiance is just the beginning – the food and drinks are the real stars of the show. The menu is clearly crafted with care, offering a delightful mix south African - Jewish delicacies ...
We started with lavender iced coffee and housemade ice tea. Shakshouka, Steve everday with no egg. Both were delicious, I especially loved the shroom schnitzel 👌
Our server Milo was friendly, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations. They struck the perfect balance of being present without being intrusive, adding to the overall relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Food tasted great but…we wait 45 minutes for hotcakes. Just tell people you’re out of something if the chef is that particular about how to make them. We’d return, but if you’re told something will take a while, order something else.

Wanted to love it. The pictures and reviews are amazing! I’ll start by saying the staff was sweet, my experience just made me feel uncomfortable being the only African-American dining at the time of my visit. Don’t think race was at play, but it still speaks to one of those unsettling feelings where you can’t help but to question, IYKYK.
Upon entry, I waited at the front and was greeted by the hostess. Immediately after, the waiter approached and said he’d seat me. Awesome! He cleaned the table and came back to grab my menu for placement. A woman who’d already been sat asked the hostess from across the room to sit at the table the waiter had just cleaned for me. The hostess came from around the counter and obliged the woman’s request. A woman with an older infant, who had been waiting behind me, who’d also watched the patron be moved, then rushed to the adjacent clean table without waiting to be sat upon greeting. The waiter had to clean another table to seat me. I remained pleasant and didn’t show dismay. The woman who cut from behind pulled the typical Karen move “apologizing” to seek absolution for feeling guilty about what she’d done following her “oblivion”. The hostess then took her order, and the waiter came back to take mine.
By the time the woman who’d cut and infant finished their meal, my hotcakes and poached egg came out, along with a gentleman’s food who was sat next to me well after I’d been sat. My eggs and hotcakes were cold. I informed the barista who’d brought my food out, and kindly declined the ask to remake the order. The hostess came over to confirm if I was ready to check out and provided a POS system table side. The eggs were still on the bill so I informed her they needed to be removed. My waiter came back for the first time since I was sat, to confirm, and said he, “thought it was only the hotcakes that were cold”. I kindly informed him that the eggs were primarily what was cold. I could have stomached the cold hotcakes, but honestly, who likes cold eggs? Moreover, I ask myself, why didn’t he check to see how everything came out, or bring out the food out? I watched everyone around me receive multiple touches from staff. I was able to pay, finish my cappuccino and leave hungry. Despite my experience, the food had good flavor. I just had an unpleasant dining experience, unfortunately.
This place has amazing food but really struggles when they are busy. Last 2 times we have visited we have waited over 30 minutes for breakfast. Staff are lovely but service delivery from the kitchen is not working. Definitely worth visiting but lan to wait a long time for your food.

For the first time in my life I felt racially out of place. There were items on the menu that wasn’t allowed to take to-go (odd) .. the young lady was acting like she was terrified of me and I’m a soft spoken person. It wasn’t a welcoming feeling at all with the service. I ended up getting another server and he wasn’t much help. Needless to say I thought I had found a healthier place to eat at in my backyard but I guess not!

Where do I begin? The first hint for the type of service I was going to receive was that the host greeted us and it took five minute for her to clean off a table and take us to our seat. We sat at out table for 20 minutes before we were greeted by our waiter. We placed our order and here I sit 34 minutes later, still waiting for my drip coffee. This type of service is unacceptable and if you value yout time I would highly suggest staying away from this resteraunt. It was absolutely infuriating watching people take their seats after us, get their food and leave before I even had a cup of coffee.

All in all not bad. Shakshuka was a bit vinegary for my taste and the chicken salad bland. Food is fresh. Space is echoey but clean.

Update: The owner reached out and we had a phone call about my experience. She was very receptive to my critiques. She really seems to care about customer experience so I’m hoping my experience was a fluke. The food was not to my personal preference but if I had liked the food I would definitely give them another shot based on my call with the owner.
tl;dr overpriced bland food, abandoned by server halfway through meal, burnt food, surprise charges
This review is not meant to be negative or critical, but I don’t think the experience I had here was consistent with how high of a rating it has. First thing I’ll say is that staff is very friendly and everyone seemed genuinely nice. Definitely a high point of my experience. Unfortunately the service was a little slow and inconsistent. The food is very expensive and bland. I got the brisket crepe and it was lacking flavor. I got a side order of latkes upon server recommendation. They were just ok. I barely ate any of my food because it just wasn’t that good to eat. At that point I decided to get a slice of banana bread since my server said it was excellent. I thought it would be a good way to supplement my meal since I wasn’t interested in eating it. I asked for it toasted the server asked if I wanted butter. I’m not really a butter person but said sure since she said it would be on the side and not on the bread itself. The bread when it arrived was way overtoasted, burned, and dried out so I took one bite then decided to tell my server. I waited about 15 minutes for my server to come back, visibly looking around for her and making eye contact with other servers. I finally got up and asked another server and they just said “Oh, I think she went on lunch break”. She should’ve told me she was going on break and at the very least told one of her colleagues to make sure that the table was covered because I was sitting there like an idiot waiting to be helped. By that time I had to go. I got a replacement banana bread but didn’t get a chance to eat it there. I asked for it untoasted lol. Upon later inspection it appears that the entire loaf of banana bread was burnt (even without additional toasting) so inedible either way. When it was time for me to pay, instead of receiving a check the server just told me a total. I asked if I could see my check and she showed me the machine display. I had been charged $1 for the butter I never touched and didn’t want and my server never mentioned a charge. Servers should always notify of items that will be an additional charge, especially if they’re recommending them when the customer has no interest, and especially if it’s an item that is free at every other restaurant I’ve ever been to. Another note is that I got chammomile tea. It was a pretty small mug with a comically large bag of tea. It appeared to be looseleaf tea that had been put in a paper sachet but the paper sachet was stuck to the mug and also there was nowhere to put it so it was pretty hard to drink. All these things in isolation would be minor complaints but all together it just made for a not great experience. After tax and tip, $45 is a lot to pay for mediocre food and service. I’ve been having a hard time and just wanted to treat myself. With a rating of 4.9 stars, I was willing to try a few different things and really hoping to love everything and have a good brunch experience. I’m still really disappointed by how much I paid in the end to only eat a few bites. Maybe I should’ve sent it all back in the moment but I really try not to do that unless the food is inedible. The food was perfectly edible (it just wasn’t particularly tasty). I think that there were just a bunch of little things that went wrong that really added up and left me feeling really unsatisfied and pretty bummed about my experience :(
