Ordered takeout for a birthday party for 65 people. Had calls all day about how this was the best event food they’ve ever had. Matt handled the planning and made it so easy and fun. Food was delivered an hour away from restaurant and was still hot. I couldn’t be happier!

Hate to do it to em cause they were so nice but the food was not good. The brisket was dry dry and not seasoned. The Carolina pork was cold. Not worth the $60 and all we got was a 3 meat platter, a hot dog sides and drinks.

Coming from someone born and raised in a real bbq city your food doesn’t cut it at all. Especially the sides. You wouldn’t last a 1 year lease in a top class neighborhood in a city that actually knows good bbq
But don’t take it personal because Georgia simply can’t smoke meat…at least commercially…I don’t know about individual households…but seriously out of every southeastern state Georgia bbq restaurants are on the low end.
I’m sorry to hear that a delivery driver (allegedly ) stole an order. Your food is not worth stealing. I hope they didn’t eat it, matter of fact if they did they probably stopped after the first bite into your flavorless food.
As someone who has delivered food for 7 years now, which wouldn’t be possible if I was out here stealing orders, I’m tired of the disrespect from restaurant staff and management. I don’t condone any driver stealing orders but it may have something to do with any of the following:
Ridiculous unfounded inflation
Ridiculous disparity in wages
Ridiculous 50% decrease in driver pay from delivery companies
Ridiculous attitudes from staff
A government that provides more tax burden and less benefit to its workforce
And a contracting labor market
Though I am fortunate to be in a position to mitigate these factors, I am not dumb bead blind and ignorant to the reality that people are enduring like you Dumb Barbecue A… you can guess what the A stands for…
Maybe you guys should evaluate whether you want to be “partnered” with a company that is exploiting your product as well as driver labor, especially if you’re going to be pushing on drivers like me who haven’t done anything to you and have always tried and gone often above and beyond dealing with way more than you could ever imagine, just to be the INTEGRAL PART of expanding YOUR BRAND to customers through these delivery platforms.
And trust me I would have gladly told you all of this face to face if I didn’t have to deliver your customers order in a timely manner…so be thankful you received grace and we’re spared from being told about yourself in person. If it hurts to read this, like my parents would tell me whenever they disciplined me for being wrong, “it hurts me more than it hurts you”

Not even close to old VaHi location for dine in. The food tastes the same but this location is definitely geared primarily towards take-out. We came here for lunch on a Sunday and I ordered cream corn as one of my sides and it came out lukewarm.
I really want to give this 3 stars because all this experience did was make me miss the VaHi location but DBA still has some of the best meat out there and is still one of the few places that has BBQ Pastrami as a full-time menu item which is amazing.

I tried the 3 meat plate (Brisket, pulled pork, 1/4 rib), potato salad, slaw and fried pickles to start. The food was pretty decent over all but not worth the price (fairly expensive for the portions). The service was okay and the restaurant was simple.

This was one of the best experiences I have had dining out. Started with a welcoming greeting and quick table service; I ordered the BBQ sandwich with Mac & Cheese and side of Cream Corn - both SO delicious.
When my food was delivered, the lady asked my name and in turned used my name to ask if I needed anything additional. That's a WOW right there I won't forget. They were right there to get me a drink refill without hesitation and then when I went to check out, there wasnt a line for a tip. So unusual compared to everywhere else nowadays.
I was just amazed with the focus on good food and good service! Im going around and bragging about this place to everyone I know! Love DBA Chastain!
Food is always good here. My rating is strictly related to phone service and an employee having me on hold for half an hour. The owner has always told me to call for pickup rather than using an app (cost savings for him). I subsequently placed the order via an app and stayed on the phone as my family member picked up the order. I really want to see how long they would leave me on hold.

Kids wanted bbq, right across the street almost, was DBA! Service was great! Food was 4.4. Details, wings were just ok, smoked but needed deeper flavor and smoke (admittedly wings are a tough one, but can be done well). Pork ribs were very good, flavorful without sauce! Also I was extremely happy about all of them. I’m partial to sweet, and it was good. The surprise was the enjoyment ment of the tangy and Carolina. The turkey was flavorful and the kids demolished it. We also had the Ruben, and yep that really worked well too!! Mac n cheese….ehhhhhh. Beans were really good (sweet). Slaw, on point…..Greens were flavorful and a hit, with nice pieces of garlic and turkey. Creamed corn was super solid, I did add a bit of Lawry’s. Green beans were conservatively seasoned but with decent flavor and some texture. Bbq can be extremely regional and subjective. I think they did a very nice good and are worth a visit. I will be back when in the area.

So the atmosphere and service was polite but the food was not worth $35 dollars , I ended up getting 3 meats and 2 sides.
The ribs were not bad but def can be better . Maybe smoked/cook slower and longer to have that fall off the bone experience.
The wings were okay as well , the hot buffalo sauce had a good taste but overall wing was mid
The 2 sides were mid as well the macaroni was so plain Jane and the beans were good but def could use some more flavor other than that over kill bbq sauce taste
The brisket was horrible it was so dry and there was no brisket bend it was stiff like a dried up piece of steak and no flavor .
Not worth the $35 dollars very suprised with my dish I had high expectations due to the polite positive service/atmosphere but ya’ll definitely need to change y’all cooks techniques or come up with a new recipe cooking technique for smoking . Just put in a little bit more of an effort to y’all brisket it was horrible .

DBA Barbecue Chastain is an absolute gem! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful—the baked beans, collard greens, and chicken wings were some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection! And the margarita? Amazing! It was so fresh, and I was impressed that their skinny margarita had no syrup but still tasted incredible. The service was just as great as the food, making the entire experience top-notch. This will definitely be my new go-to spot in Chastain!
