Little back story: I don’t live in Atlanta, and after some research I quickly realized that this was the go to place. Great reviews, good looking photos, and the authentic Nigerian meals I was looking for.
I decided to cater Jollof rice, efo riro (assorted) and, ewa aganyin and plantain. I called yesterday and it was ready for me today. Amazing service, picking it up was easy and hassle free, and thankfully, the sizes were just as expected for a good price. Best of all, the taste was PERFECT! I’m so happy about this and hoping to update this review with photos soon.

At first My family and I ordered 5 orders of Egusi and Fufu, the food, flavors, meats, fish and fufu was literally the best flavors I ever had. It was savory, spicy, flavorful and absolutely delightful. The owner was very sweet. We liked it so much my sister went back and made an order to take home for the next day. Each plate was $28 and came with a bottle water. Thankfully I found her on Google and she was only 3 minutes from me, privately owned in the SW side of Atlanta.

My big sister, nephew, and I had the pleasure of trying the Amala, Gbegiri & Ewedu dish with orishirishi at DeemFoods yesterday, and it was absolutely delightful! The flavors were rich and authentic, with the perfect balance of texture from the Amala and the tenderness of the proteins. The Gbegiri & Ewedu soup added a wonderful depth to the meal. I was impressed by the generous portion size and the warm, welcoming service. Overall, it was a truly satisfying and delicious experience! I posted about it on Snapchat, and all my friends here in Atlanta and other cities/countries were impressed, commenting 'damn!' I can't wait to go back for more! It was yummy, and I'm checking if I can add pictures. By the way, my nephew had pasta with minced meat, and he was singing and asking if we could order again today! ( faces covered) 😂

I received uncommon kindness today from the Proprietor, Head Chef, and Iya olonje extraordinaire of this establishment. Just say I am hooked. After the Yam Egg today, I am
Eager to try every and anything on her menu. Next is the Egusi soup for me… can’t wait for real. I was hungry today, if you ever are, head there, she will take care of you. Thank you so very much!!! The food was beyond tasty.

Discovering Deem Foods was like finding a hidden gem for anyone who loves or is curious about African cuisine. This store is a treasure trove of African foodstuffs, offering an incredible variety of ingredients that are essential for authentic African cooking.
From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the rich array of spices, grains, and flours that are hard to come by elsewhere. The store stocks everything from yams, plantains, and goatmeats to exotic spices and seasonings that are the heart and soul of African dishes. Their selection of dried fish, meats is equally impressive, catering to all the needs of traditional African cooking.
What truly sets Deem Foods apart is the quality of their products. Everything feels fresh and is beautifully presented, making it easy to find what you need. Deola deserves a special mention for her friendliness and expertise. ATL needed Deem Foods!
I cant express enough how much I love going to Deem Foods. Based in Atlanta, it's everything the city needed - from its made-to-order meals to its African grocery store, it's a one-stop destination. I no longer have to travel outside of Atlanta for specialty ingredients; Deem Foods has it all and I don't have to travel far.
Even better, I appreciate their delivery service, fresh and flavorful foods. The owner is personable and has become family. She is passionate about customer satisfaction and swiftly resolves any issues. To be honest, it's a no-brainer recommendation for anyone seeking top-notch quality and convenience in their food experience. Deem Foods is exactly what Atlanta needed.
