Amazing food, friendly waitstaff, and fast service. We had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day, too!

I had some issues with the waitress but the manager reached out to me the next day and gave me amazing customer service to correct the issue that should’ve never happened. Thank you so much for offering me a gift card and refunding my wine that fell out of my bag. All I’m asking for these days is just decent customer service and the manager truly went above and beyond. I will be waiting for my gist card tho at u haven’t received yet ?. Def give them a try.

Always delicious! A great place to get Ethiopian food, especially if you've never had it. I enjoy ordering the vegetarian and meat sampler. It's a great way to try a bit of everything and share family style dining.

Everything was absolutely perfect! Me and my mom sat upstairs, on our way up it was cleaned, and beautiful. The customer service was absolutely terrific. She offered refills on our waters when she saw it was low, she didn't have a problem adding another item on our tab when we was eating, and she presented us that beautiful cheesecake. I stopped and asked my mom something and made a face. Although it didn't retain to the food, she rushed over and asked if everyrhing was okay and if it was nasty. Shes a great employee here, and made our first experience lovely.

Good experience here with a friend. Delicious Ethiopian food. I've gotten two things: a mushroom sandwich on pita bread, which was amazing, and the vegan platter. When I come back, I'll likely get the vegan platter again. You are given a lot of food, and the vegan platter, and many of the entrees, are eaten with injera or pita bread (I choose injera). 10/10

I love their food! I am not sure if it is 100% authentic ethiopian food but i love it! I always order their meat lovers platter with filet mignon, lamb, chicken, miser, potato curry, injera. The meat has a lot of flavor, is seasoned well and their service is great! They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating as well! I have gone here multiple times! will definetly recommend!

Note: I only review places I like, hence why most of my reviews are 4 or 5 stars…This is the Briarcliff location (which I think is the original). They also have one in the Westside Provisions area.Short review: Wonderful Ethiopian food, wonderful service, nice interior (casual but artsey), absolutely will come back again.I got lamb tibs (not dry but not oily, perfect), injera, goman (spicey collared greens, excellent), and a brown rice. I enjoyed everything, but they have so many items, that it will be awhile before I repeat any items on later visits (there will be later visits).Really nice interior (red walls, artistic, but still casual). Music not played too loudly. Lots of patio seating (outside but with roof and mesh nets to keep bugs out.Service: I usually don’t comment on service too much since I’m low maintenance and I can order food in public without issues (seems to be declining skill for a lot of people), but I’ll comment here because service was not only extremely friendly but helpful (to the other tables as well). With food that is deviation from what people are accustomed to, servers have an extra task to explain items before they are ordered, and then also explain them once they arrive. They servers do an excellent job of making the food “accessible” to the patrons.Great place.

Their food seems heavily oriented towards western palates. For me it was a little boring and I probably won’t return, but it might be just right for someone less accustomed to spices! Service was excellent.

Desta is my top choice for Ethiopian cuisine. Their exceptional service, the freshness and quality of their dishes, and the overall dining experience always leave me impressed. Whether I'm there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I can't get enough of their offerings. The breakfast combo special is a particular favorite of mine. When it comes to ordering, I often go for the meat lovers platters, veggie platters, tibs (especially the Awazay), and kitfo. The variety on their menu is fantastic, and as an Ethiopian, I always opt to have my meals with injera.
