The Lauryn Hill vs Alicia Keys Unplugged event was a vibe.
This place has gone down hill. I came for a birthday celebration but it was a disaster. The waiter, whom I will not mention was horrible. The customer service was unpleasant. The guy had no personality, no manners and was downright rude. The menu was on a piece of paper. The selections were small. They were out of two items. I noticed that the hostess went around to all the tables, asking how everything was, but no one ever came to our table.
Valet parking was $20 and they took forever to bring the cars around. They did say they were changing around some things and the restaurant would be moving upstairs. However, this should’ve been mentioned when reservations were being made. We ended up going to another restaurant that night because the service was so subpar.

I think they changed chiefs, food isn't as good this time around. Also told us they ran out of bread, which was very strange to me. The restaurant on a weekend was dead. My drink also was not the best. Bar is beautiful though, lots of space for bigger parties.
I wanted to shout out Marcus for being a great bartender when I came in. His service was 5-star and he made sure I had everything I needed before I needed to ask for it!

Very attractive restaurant located in the lobby of Thompson Atlanta. The decor is nice but all hard surfaces throughout make it extremely noisy and difficult to hear the people at your table. The food and service were OK but not amazing. Needs noise canceling to help the loud noises from traveling so diners can enjoy the place

Dirty Rascal is a surprisingly good Italian restaurant located inside the Thompson, Buckhead, Georgia Hyatt hotel. I say surprisingly good because I'm not fond of hotel restaurants. My experiences with hotel restaurants are usually mediocre at best.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a large bar at the entrance that has a classy feel.
The host greeted me immediately with a friendly smile and welcome. He even asked my preference for seating after showing me a few options, even though it was a busy Saturday night. It was a personal touch that I really appreciated.
Jeff, my server, was equally as friendly as he explained the specials and offered a choice of waters. I asked about the availability of blue cheese stuffed olives and to my surprise they had them. All great meals start with a dry Belvedere or Grey Goose martini served with blue cheese olives. Many places do not want to bother with stuffing the olives, and to them I say I am not going to bother coming back! LOL
I am a fan of bold flavors of onion and garlic. Many restaurants are often afraid of using Italian seasonings but happily Dirty Rascal does not. The meatballs as an appetizer were bold and delicious, smothered in red sauce that reminded me of my mom's sauce. The garlic bread was hot and fresh and went perfectly with this dish.
For my main course I ordered the Saturday special of lobster spaghetti. This was a little disappointing in terms of being a little flat on the flavor, but it was still very good.
I was really impressed with this place, and I cannot wait to go back. I am going to give an enthusiastic 5 star review. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Buckhead area, or staying at the Thompson, Buckhead Hyatt.

Great Service and food at Dirty Rascal. Do not go to the roof bar at Thompson. I believe it runs separately from Dirty Rascal. Terrible treatment and terrible service up there. Do go to Dirty Rascal. Very good!
Marcus, our server, did an immaculate job with the restaurant's recommendations. ???? The food was amazing, hands down. The "unknown" chef was the real MVP. ??

LOUD music!! Curved booth was helpful for close seating because we couldn’t hear each other talk. Got a decibel over 90 dB warning from a watch. Anything over 70 dB can damage hearing over time. Is this a lovely dinner restaurant or a music entertainment venue? It doesn’t work well to try for both.

We had a great experience on a Thursday night. We went at 6pm and there were only a couple people there. The service was great and the food was really good. We sat inside and then asked to be moved to the patio and the staff was very accommodating. Our waitress was awesome and gave great recommendations. We ordered the cesar, ravoli, chicken parm, and truffle fries. Everything was so good and good portions for the prices. We were there for a birthday and they brought out the tiramisu and it was delicious! The staff made us feel very welcome and we had an awesome time.

Dirty Rascal is located in The Thompson Hotel. I had the Caesar salad and the pasta (house specialty). It was good. I believe that a normal sized plate of pasta, with no meat at all, is overpriced at $26. Don't expect bread & olive oil unless you're prepared to pay. I could understand the costs if the food tasted “over the top”, but it was “good”. The server was kind..didn't talk much and when he did talk it was very difficult to hear him. The salad was good. All in all, it's a good restaurant if you're staying at the hotel.
I used to love this restaurant! Unfortunately, the chef changed and with it, the menu...and the quality of the food. Our pastas were drowning in grease, which was off-putting. Then there was our server. OH MY. I know it's difficult to staff restaurants these days, but...this was next level. It was a very disappointing experience overall. I had just recommended it to a couple of friends and was forced to text them so they could cancel their reservation. It's not surprising that it was essentially empty on a Saturday night.
