Food was amazing! Very out side the box flavors. Everything popped! The whole reception was in an uproar it! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend District Events and Catering for all your catering needs.

The only reason they are getting 1 star is because the food taste was good. Rajan, the owner, is very responsive prior to final payment but when he has the full payment he stops all communication. After I saw the horrible service at a friend's daughter's wedding, I met with him to tell him my expectations. His service for our events went well primarily due to my event planner. After the event, I paid him using ACH because the check was lost in the mail. An error occurred and he received duplicate payments. It has been an ordeal trying to get the money back. His lack of communication is the reason I have decided to dispute the charge with my bank since he agreed to refund me the extra payment. If you use his service, make sure you don't pay full payment until your event is done and make sure there is no mistake in the amount of payment because you will have a difficult time getting your own money back. I would not recommend them to anyone for any services.

Use district events to host our daughter’s high school graduation party.

Taco bar was excellent, loved the paneer, that was an overall hit. We had discussed labeling the vegetarian item, but it never happened.

Also had a Pani puri station. However, the Pani for the Pani puri was never stirred so the Pani was extremely bland with no flavor and very diluted. The one plate I tried was also soggy with the potatoes sitting inside. Didn’t get any compliments on this station from my 200 guests. My family did comment how bland the Pani was.

Similarly, my Mexican pizza set up was nothing like I had discussed The pizzas were extremely greasy with no sauce or cheese on top. I thought they were going to be served in fresh slices like the Share the love gala but instead they were served as whole pizzas which were impossible to eat, except as a whole or folded. So instead of fancy finger food, it was awkward.

The team was great and punctual and helpful. No issues there. Just disappointed in the taste/presentation.

Also, my cakes were never served or distributed like the contract. We had discussed an 8:15 pm serving time.

Just disappointed that I went 3-4 times a normal Chipotle- like budget on the food but yet none of my guest were impressed. I even had a guest arrive at 8:15 who said they stop serving the Mexican pizzas even though my food was supposed to go from 6 to 9 pm. Additionally, there was a 22% service fee included, and yet the staff seemed to be waiting for a tip. I couldn’t justify a tip after the above experience. I was going for a wow factor from my guests, instead, I was embarrassed. (I did tip my other vendors…my bartenders and my shaved ice truck)

District Events and Catering provided the food for our wedding at Fernbank Museum, and absolutely blew it out of the water. They were so flexible when we were choosing our menu, and adjusted flavors (salt, heat) to our preferences. Raj was also very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.

We got SO MANY compliments about the food at our wedding. We have absolutely no regret using District, and will continue to do so in the future.

We booked District for to cater a buffet for 150 people for our wedding this past March at the recommendation of our wedding planner. The food was actually very good, with the exception of some overly cook and tough steak, and working with Bria leading up to the wedding was wonderful, which is the only reason I am giving two stars instead of one.

However, the day of our wedding, there were two major issues. First, even though we were paying for a full service buffet in which every guest should receive every item on the menu, the staff told our guests that they could only receive one protein. They did not tell us that they would do this. It makes me wonder if they did not come prepared with enough food, which is a big issue in and of itself, or if they did it purposefully to cut costs.

Second, we paid $20 for each vendor meal. But less than half of the vendors actually received their meals, and at the end of the night when they asked for it, they were told that they had run out of food, which shows even more unpreparedness.

After the wedding, we expressed our concerns and requested a partial refund for any food that was not served to our guests or our vendors. Although they entertained us for a couple of weeks, they have since ghosted us. I will probably take them to small claims court, but I also wanted everyone to make sure that if they book with District, they should be very clear on their expectations.

We were able to host a beautiful 20 person seated 5-course dinner party and tequila tasting at our home with the help of District. They were able to coordinate all the details for the event, including menu, tequila tasting, table, chair, drinkware and dinnerware rentals and decor. We were out of the country until the night before so it was great to have only one vendor to coordinate with for all my needs. The day of they had minimal questions for me so I could enjoy my event without interruption. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

We hired DEC to cater my parents 50th anniversary. The food was amazing and the service in terms of ordering and pickup was great too. Our guests all raved about the food and asked for the contact. We will use DEC again for any future events for sure!

DEC Catering was a fantastic vendor & partner for our wedding in Atlanta. As a Goan & Gujarati couple, Rajan and team worked with us to design a perfect menu highlighting staple dishes from both our backgrounds to celebrate our special day and wedding weekend events. From our welcome night mela of Indian street food dishes to the reception's Goan Fish Curry, staples like Butter Chicken and new indowestern dishes like our brussel sprouts saag, our guests were thrilled to enjoy the variety & tradition DEC brought. Thank you DEC! - Anisha & Prateek

We can't say enough good things about DEC, they did a fantastic job handling the catering at our wedding. Julia was our main point of contact from the start and we immediately clicked. She really went above and beyond the call of duty, helping us navigate through the entire planning process. She was extremely helpful in terms of working with other vendors and making recommendations/suggestions when we felt a bit lost or overwhelmed. We couldn’t have pulled off the wedding of our dreams without her help and guidance. In general, contacting wedding vendors as an LGBTQ+ couple can sometimes feel a bit awkward but Julia set our anxious minds at ease right away.

In terms of the food itself, at the tasting it was outstanding. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Their Thai beef satay and yucca fries were my favorite dishes, and they made sure to set some aside the day of the event so we wouldn’t miss out. I wasn’t expecting the same quality of food at the wedding, simply because it was a larger volume and certain dishes were prepared in advance. I couldn’t have been more wrong. If anything, the food was better than it had been at the tasting. The service day-of was also fantastic, they went out of their way to make us feel taken care of from start to finish. Everyone was also really cognizant of our guests with dietary restrictions and they handled our big chunk of special meals flawlessly.

I don’t know how often I’ll be catering parties in the future, but when I need a caterer I know who I’m calling! Thank you DEC!!

We recently hired District to provide lunch for an editorial shoot. Not only is Julia Hurwitz always a dream to work with, the food was delicious, they were on time, professional and the presentation was great. Highly recommend!
