Their incredible customer service aside (which is always awesome), their menu never disappoints. My only criticism is that they need to return Fish Tacos to their core menu. I'm not a fan of anything containing peas (except pea pods, go figure) and edamame. Aside from those, everything else on their menu is on point and always fresh (and SUPER hot, even when it takes us 20 minutes to get home to enjoy food). I will rarely say "no" to going to Doc Chey's any time of the day or year.

Don’t ever order delivery. The website cons you with a pop up message pleading you not to use 3rd party deliver apps such as uber eats, DoorDash etc. and to Order Delivery through us so our local community restaurant can get the money. So as soon as you place your order it immediately directs you to Uber Eats… Then the restaurant, Doc Cheys, forgets to place the full order in the bag. They refuse to give a refund or deliver another meal and say you need to contact Uber, even though Uber isn’t the one who made the mistake, they did. And Uber says you can’t get a refund through us since it’s the restaurants fault. On top of that, one of the items ordered from the “Specials” menu came in a tiny rice sized container. I asked them about it and they said, that’s just an appetizer/side. No where does it say that, why would you put it under SPECIALS, when normally those are full entrees? Also the meal says Shrimp over rice, the shrimp comes over crunchy noodles, not rice. No manager on site ever, you’re given their contact info to reach out to during the week. So no one at the restaurant has any knowledge or power to give a refund or fix any issues during a busy weekend. I dined in here for years, but after this, I’m done. Will never be back after this, it really left a bad impression on me that I can’t shake. Buyer beware, hope it doesn’t happen to you.

@doccheys This restaurant has repeatedly turned away kids who simply want to eat, with staff saying they 'can't babysit! Your business thrives because of the neighborhood kids; the least you can do is treat them with respect! @atIscoop #vahighlands

Another great neighborhood eatery that has been around for 25 years! Family favorites: pork dumplings, lo mein, general chey's stirfry, thai coconut soup, and the salads are actually really hardy and yummy. They have done a lot of give-back fundraisers for the neighborhood fire house and schools over the years and we really love that. We always eat here when the kids come visit from college. Friendly staff and good value for what you get.

I would give this 5 stars, however HappyCow only allows a max of 4 starts for a partially vegetarian restaurant (womp womp). I've been going here for years and like that it's a place where both vegetarians and carnivores can find something delicious. Lots of vegetarian options. My faves: garlic eggplant stirfry, black bean noodles. My hubby bounces between the spicy szechuan and general chey's. You can't go wrong. Friendly staff and love that they give back to the neighborhood. Peace Love Noodles, baby

First time trying Doc Chey! The food selection is good. You order up front at the cashier and then they bring it to you. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and added chicken - quite tasty! I also got the Brussel sprouts which had a great flavor! My mentor also got Brussel sprouts which she enjoyed, and the spring rolls.

They have an outside covered patio and inside seating available.

Friendly service.

Vegetarian options: They have done dishes that you can choose without meat.

Dietary restrictions: I am gluten and dairy free (not celiac), and had plenty of options.

Parking: Love that they are located in a shopping center with free parking!

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is wheelchair accessible
