Brisket was very tender and perfect flavor. Typically, I see the red rim below the bark, but this was fully done brown and the taste was great. The greens were great and the kale slaw was good. $32 I believe and I really had no complaints. Maybe it could’ve came with cornbread or Texas toast, but this was fine. Guy was cool at the register and putting my plate together. I’d come back here and recommend. The thin barbecue sauce is vinegar tasting and delicious if you like that...
Fish platter is on point!! Flaky fish lightly breaded and perfectly fried. Collards are glorious, balanced well betweet sweet, spicy, and vinegary. The signature Doug Sauce is a classic Carolina vinegar sauce with just the right touch of sweet and viscous enough to cover your meal.
Definitely recommend for an afternoon old fashioned North Carolina bbq throwback to the good ole days. The home made vinegar sauce was on point. Nice side selection to choose from. U got 2 try it…
