I'm new to the neighborhood and LOVE a walkable restaurant with great food and drinks where I can also socialize with friends. I prefer to sit at the bar because having worked in the industry, it's usually where you'll get the most personable service.
The first question was what was I having to drink. I asked for water. Since I was thirsty and I was at the restaurant to eat after having not eaten since yesterday morning. I did plan on having drink but that wasn't my priority and I also didn't want it to be watery.
A regular comes and sits and the bartender makes her a drink and enjoys a glass of the margarita for herself. After seeing how pretty the drink was I asked about the flavor. I requested she flavor my drink the same way when it's time since I need to eat first and I don't want my drink sitting becoming watery.
She then still proceeds to put in my drink order as my delayed chips arrive.
Halfway thru my chips, a 2 full blown fajita dishes are delivered to the two regulars at the bar who arrived 15 minutes after I did. And who ordered 10 minutes after me.
I later found out she made me a tequila drink and never put my food order.
I only drink mezcal and moonshine. Not speed rack tequila. I made it clear that I wanted chips, my food, then my guava mezcal skinny margarita. Like we talked about all of this. She even asked if I wanted my tacos hard or soft.
It's one thing to be the "it girl" bc you've put in time at an establishment and you're treat at what you do and personable to EVERYONE. it's another thing to be bossy and mean and show favoritism and act like everything you just did was okay.
I asked for a check out of respect to leave and she really tried to charge me at first. Then said it's all good and not to worry.
It's the attitude and the sassy and the strong and wrong for me. It's not cool and It didn't feel good. I was able to ignore her attidude my first visit bc she was weeded and I understand. I even tipped the same amount as my bill.
I still am hungry and my hunger headache is worse bc of the tequila i never asked for.
I'm mad ASF bc i enjoy the establishment. I could care less if you drink on the job. Just maintain your steps of service and remember that every first deserves to not feel like theyre a nuisance.

I've been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years, and while the food is still fantastic, the service has become terrible. I love the food here, but I often end up choosing other places because the service is just so disappointing.
I enjoy sitting in the bar area, but the service at the bar is especially bad. They don't check in on you—I’ve been here for quite a while, and no one has asked if I need anything, whether it's food or drinks. It's 9:30 on a Thursday, and the bar staff is off in the corner eating instead of checking on customers like me.
As much as I love the food, the poor service is making me think it's time to find a new spot.

It was ok, the drinks from the bar were not that good, my mango daiquiri didn't even taste like mango. I had to send it back and got a piña colada wich it wasn't all that. I probably could make a better one at home. They brought the piña colada in a horrible glass.... I also ordered a shrimp cocktail didn't even finish it, horrible presentation the tomato on my cocktail taste it old, the lemon hanging on my cocktail was literally about to fall when it arrived they did not put any love, passion or effort in cooking the food. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. A waste of money, also the customer service not the best, my server had a dirty towel hanging from his shorts, got me thinking is that what he uses to clean? Also he attended us like he was on a rush.

I go to this Mexican Restaurant occassionally and really enjoy their menu. Personally, my heart is always set on a margarita when I go here and i really enjoy the options that are available and the selection in flavors. The Texas and the house margarita are definitely worth a try.

I would give an overall five stars to this place, my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Atlanta area. However, they have some deceptive practices with the bill. Double-check your receipt to make sure that they haven't already added a tip to your bill. I ended up tipping over 50% because I tipped on top of an automatically added tip. We only had five people in our party.
