This was one of those places that I’d always pass by riding the Marta, and I thought it looked cute. For the food and service, however, I’m so glad I stopped by. I don’t know of any other place in the city that does the simple cilantro-and-onion style taco with (non-fried) fish and shrimp, but they do here, and it’s just what I’ve been missing. We had a fantastic experience at El Ponce! We started with the skinny margaritas with tajin, which were refreshing, amazing, and perfectly balanced.
For food, the portions are incredibly generous. The Burrito Grande is truly big and tastes great, and the steak and chicken fajitas were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Even the refried beans were spot on. The Taco salad portions were generous with fresh chicken strips....
