I stumbled upon this place before a show at Terminal West. I’m damn glad I did. Legitimately some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had coupled with incredible service. Hats off. I’ll be back.

Service was really great! But the food was not good at all unfortunately:/ the steak tacos we got were so disgusting the meat was a blue color and it was so rubbery and did not taste like steak. The chicken was good, but the steak was really gross. Pls change your recipe

We discovered this restaurant on a whim and are so happy we visited. This is our new favorite spot. The food was a 100/10 and I'm not even kidding. The Costra is now my FAVORITE type of taco. Nick and his team's service was amazing. We appreciated his conversation, jokes, and overall hospitality-- to me, that is just as important as the food being good. It goes a long way and makes me want to recommend El Santo Gallo to all of my friends. The restaurant is cute and vibrant and the color scheme + decor is very inviting and appealing. I meant to leave this review a few weeks ago, but we ate here again today, and listen, the food and service was just as great as it was the first time-- so now we know they're consistent!
I'd give this place ten stars if I could.

The menu doesn’t even have pricing on it and the tacos aren’t value add. Separate of the price, there’s a Mexican place across the street that’s better, not to mention 3 taco places within a mile (torchys tacos, velvet taco and also tuza taco). Baffling.

Amazing food - we shared the al pastor taco, carne asada taco, gringa asada, elote and chips & salsa. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in Atlanta. That said the lack of price transparency on the overheard menu (or having a digital menu with prices) is inexcusable. The service left a lot to be desired. Between the higher prices than you’d find elsewhere and mediocre service I would rather visit a smaller local taco shop in ATL, of which there are plenty.

They are slow and disorganized. Lots of flies don't clean the tables in a prompt manner. Using one of the tables for customers as food prep table

A bit pricey but I get it, it's their location but what I didn't like at all was that I came for lunch and they had music blasting... I couldn't hear my partner across the table.

Pros: handmade corn tortillas were delicious, the mezcalita was yummy, the salsa was spicy! Cons: only 2 other customers in the space, yet it took 10-15 minutes to receive our chips, salsa and drinks (served from the tap so no mixing required), another 10 minutes or so to receive our two tacos. AC was either broken or not turned on (no fans in the space), must purchase Topo Chico (no water), tacos came without noted toppings (out of cilantro), really needed two tortillas per taco because mine fell apart after bite two, ordered margaritas but they were “out” but like I mentioned above the mezcalita was delicious. Prices are way too high and are not listed on the menu. Service is minimal. I really had high hopes for this place but management just doesn’t seem to get it. Maybe it was an off day, but it was a pretty terrible experience.
