After doing a bike ride, I stopped here at El Tesoro, which is located inside of the Lee+White food hall in the West End.
The portion size and cost is definitely a selling point here as it’s filling and fairly affordable. Additionally, the food was made fresh and took about 10 minutes to come out, if that.
Taste wise, being from Texas and being a huge fan of Mexican food, the burrito was just okay to me which prompted an average rating.

I had a taste for some delicious nachos, and when I tell you they understood the assignment ??? Best nachos I’ve had in a long time. The chip texture, the ratio of ingredients to chips, the way it was layered, the flavor for everything, ALL PERFECT!! I ate 3/4 of it before I pulled out off the parking lot ? that’s what the picture shows, sorry I started eating right away, and the sunset gave the pic a tiny…Anyway, try it for yourself!
ordered nachos. the ratio of toppings to chips was so sad, mostly chips. and the chips were dipped and rolled in salt.
You already know. This place makes it right.

The tacos were really yummy. I got two. One beef and pork taco. Tbh the beef one was better but I didn’t really like the pork one too. I honestly really loved this place and I will definitely be back. I see they also have 20 beers on tap which is exciting and I’d love to try on a different day.

Good tacos here. I had a barbacoa, carnitas, and asada on corn tortillas. Their hot sauce has a good spice level so make sure to order it if you actually like it hot. chips come in a bag and are fresh and salty, just right. Chill, relaxed environment with self-serve water.

Great food and it's not a long wait. We went to the El Tesoro in East Atlanta before and this one had the same great quality.

I ordered a to go order so service was good . I got chicken tacos which to me were not good . The meat was dry and it had a smoky texture which I’ve never really had with my tacos . The waiter was really nice he gave chips and salsa even though it normally does not come with it that was also okay . It had a brown color versus your typical red color so all in all the meal was just okay to me and I prolly wouldn’t go back but if you are a fan of the smoked flavor you will love .

I've been here 3-4x & have always had consistently good service/food. Unfortunately today (9/11/24), the lady taking orders was extremely rude & unwelcoming. Today I wanted to try something new & when I asked a question about a menu item, she was very annoyed. This wasn't a busy time (around 1:30pm), as there was no line so I am unsure why she was breathing heavy, rolling her eyes & saying "Jesus Christ" loud enough for us to hear when I wanted to add something - the order was 2 tacos and corn, not enough to cause the theatrics. I ended my order short (as I usually add drinks etc.) because of her attitude.
While I will give it another try as this was my first experience w/ her and all other staff members have been friendly - As someone who worked in the service industry for many years, I would suggest she take more than a few training courses in customer service or work back of house.

Avoid El Tesoro! I’ve been going there for a year ordering a vegan burrito that they only just now told me has chicken stock in the rice.
Maybe you aren’t vegan, so you don’t care about this. But it shows a lack of knowledge, food safety, competence, respect, accountability, professionalism, etc. They don’t even know a chicken isn’t a vegetable- do you trust them to make your food??
