Embilta is my favorite kind of restaurant because restaurants are about FOOD and Embilta’s food is EXTRAORDINARY
I got an Embilta Special Large to go… and I think I flooded my car on the drive home salivating oh my oh myyyyyyy the smells
the woman working was as sweet as could be, and I can’t wait to see her again when I order my next round (or when I ask her to cater my wedding)

The atmosphere is odd and unwelcoming at first, almost like your intruding on a family dinner. So next, I will stick with just doing Uber eats. The waitress did warm up to us with her beautiful smile eventually. The food was fresh and very good. Im not Ethiopian, so I can't say it's authentic, but i can say it was worth the trip and awkwardness.

well! I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on a hidden gem in our area that I believe everyone should experience: Embilta Restaurant.
If you’re looking to indulge in authentic Ethiopian cuisine, Embilta is truly one of the best restaurant around. The flavors and dishes they offer are nothing short of extraordinary, and every bite transports you straight to Ethiopia. It’s as if the food is crafted with the love and care of someone who has brought their family recipes directly from their homeland.
I understand that sometimes people may voice opinions about businesses based on personal interests or experiences. However, I encourage you to form your own perspective. The best way to appreciate the quality and authenticity of Embilta’s offerings is to visit and taste for yourself. Those who have dined there can attest to the richness of the food and the warm atmosphere that surrounds it.
Whether you’re a fan of spicy stews, flavorful lentils, or the delightful injera, there’s something for everyone at Embilta. I truly believe that once you experience their dishes, you’ll understand why so many of us rave about this restaurant.
So, why not gather some friends or family and make a plan to visit Embilta soon? I promise you won’t be disappointed. Let’s support local businesses that bring such wonderful culinary experiences to our community!
Looking forward to hearing about your experiences!

We got this to go and wow, so delicious! We ordered the “little bit spicy” Embilta Special Large and it was delicious! Although I would call it more of a medium/mild spicy so if you don’t like spice just get none! I think it could feed 2-3 people. Soooo yummy!!
What a great place. This hole in the wall (meant in the most loving way) along Cheshire Bridge serves great food in a relaxed atmosphere. The woman who runs the place is so sweet.
Bring your Tupperware for leftovers!

Super flavorful food and at a good price! The portions were on the larger side so we had extra to take home. The ginger spice tea is sooo good! They’re super friendly too

I’ve been coming to this local Ethiopian gem for over 10 years now, and it still feels like home every single time. The food is beyond delicious it reminds me of my mother’s cooking, full of love, tradition, and flavor you can’t find just anywhere.
Rahel, the owner, is the heart of this place. She cooks, serves, and welcomes every guest with such kindness and humility. She’s not just running a restaurant she’s feeding the community in more ways than one. I’ve seen her give to those in need without hesitation.
The warmth, the hospitality, the taste it all feels like family. Thank you, Rahel, for keeping this place so special. I’ll always keep coming back ❤️

I’ve been a loyal patron of Embilta Café for nearly a decade, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots for authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The traditional ambiance makes you feel like you’ve been transported to Ethiopia—the décor, music, and warm hospitality create a truly immersive experience. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and deeply rooted in Ethiopian culinary tradition. You can tell it’s made with love and care by the lovely owner, who has remained remarkably consistent in quality over the years. Whether you’re enjoying a classic doro wat, kitfo, or a hearty vegetarian platter, every dish bursts with authentic flavor. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s a cultural gem in our community.

Perfect, every time 🙏
Quaint, clean, and delicious restaurant. Never disappoints and everything on the menu is so delicious that I would recommend getting a sampler plate to try a little bit of everything which is what we usually do.
Very very good food and reasonable prices
