The line stays out the door on the weekends, and for good reason. Evergreen’s pastries are on point. I tried 5 different pastries and would recommend every single one. They had 3 different pumpkin pastries (during the fall) for the basic bishes (I got all three). Their meat pies are stuffed. Want vegetables? Go elsewhere; here, it is about bread, meat, and sweets. They have vegetarian options, but it’s a butcher shop, so set expectations accordingly. The prices are totes worth it.

There is no seating indoors or outdoors, but Evergreen is located in the Kirkwood retail area, so grab a pastry and go for a lil walk. The area is cute and safe. Dress is casual, or however you want to look walking around.

There is easily accessible free street parking, and there is also unofficial stroller parking in front of the shop. There were 3 strollers lined up out front. One mother jokingly asked her baby if she wanted to stay outside in the stroller while she went into Evergreen. Guess she feels super safe in the area or is over the kid. Who knows?

Got a ham and cheese croissant and it was divine. The layers of flakiness and the perfectly crusted cheese made this one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in years

Such a gem. Unmatched quality of meats and a vast, delicious range of sweet and savory breads and pastries. Selection varies based on the season, what’s available, and what appears to be a commitment to using the whole animal. I saw a beef heart pastrami on the cold cuts shelf last weekend. Lines can be long. If you come between noon and 1 pm on sundays, know that customers queue up early to snag a coveted burger. You can just ask politely if they are in line for burgers or not, then go in for other items if needed. If it’s your first time, just ask folks what’s happening. Everyone is friendly, so don’t let the popularity overwhelm you :) Enjoy!

Parking: Three or 4 spots in front of Arden’s. Otherwise street parking in surrounding neighborhood

This place serves some of the best burgers in town. You’d have to wait in line but it’s definitely worth the wait. Make sure you also try their pastries.

I thoroughly enjoyed the pasty options I selected from this bakery. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable while I waited in the long line but the wait did not bother me one bit.

Stellar, stellar sourdough bread. I’ve tried about 6 of their pastries and the pork and duck rillettes puff is a runaway favorite. Kirkwood is so lucky to have this bakery.

Hi, I am a Kong’s dad?

I couldn’t tried bakery or meat yet but I tried the Cheese burger!!
It’s selling from 1pm only every Sunday and it’s limited.

I bought 2 cheese burgers and it’s $37.00.
Yes, it is expensive BUT it is worth it!
I can say that this cheese burger might be the best cheese burger in Atlanta.
Two patty was so soft and good balance with cheese & chopped onion.

I definitely recommend it and I am willing to revisit soonest!
I would like to try bakery and others later?

Weekend canele are a highlight as well as the ham and cheese croissant. The bakery items are generally a good option. The sausage roll wasn’t my fave - it’s a was a bit gamey for me.

Finally got to try the famous evergreen burger. They start selling them at 1 pm on Sundays only. I got there a bit early and waited in line outside for them to start selling. Everytime I come to Evergreen the employees are always extremely nice and pastries are to die for. My personal favs are the kouign amann and their sourdough bread. This burger was heavenly and worth all of the hype!

We accidentally arrived at 12:20–prior to the serving of the burgers, so we decided to pregame our burgers with some pastries. Both the brown sugar oatmeal raisin cookie and the cheese strands were delicious. We proceeded to wait in line for half an hour to purchase our burgers. The line consisted of good vibes and positive energy as we all patiently awaited to experience the almighty burger. To say the least, the burger was absolutely worth the wait. If you choose to experience euphoria, make sure to arrive on a Sunday after 1pm, as that is the only day these pieces of heaven are served. Eli was working counter service today, and he was super sweet, resourceful, and funny. This is an atl experience you cannot afford to miss. Chefs kiss raised to infinity.
