Tremendous meal. Everything was prepared well and was delicious. Our server was good but appeared overworked. Lots of tables to cover without much help. Ambiance of restaurant is excellent.

FIA remains a favorite spot for dinner. The food is great and the service attentive The grilled octopus is done to perfection and probably the best I have ever had. And, by the way, Mr Bs Bar is a great place to meet friends.

The food was excellent. I had the Bronzino, mushrooms and gnocchi, lobster ravioli, and an excellent Cosmo. John was our waiter. He had great suggestions on food kept us moving through dinner so we could make a show on time. The atmosphere of the Burgess Hotel is amazing and Fia is fabulous!

The cocktails were. Awful! Ok to be creative with specialty drinks but not when I order a standard cocktail I don't want added things to the recipe that is expected ordered two standard cocktail s and they were both very disappointing

Always a winner with us and any guests! So lovely I don't even have to tell them which chairs I prefer - always so attentive and the food is consistently wonderful.

The food at Fia is interesting and delicious. They offer multiple appetizers and several dishes cooked on their wood grill. On this visit I tried tuna tartare appetizer served over avocado mousse, and for the main course the short rib, which is served up on the bone (although already sliced for easy eating). It was delicious, although a little daunting when it first came out!! It was accompanied by a delicious sauce and basmati rice. My wife ordered the grilled watermelon salad and as a main course the warm goat cheese and tomato tartlet, with pastry that melts in your mouth. Overall a great meal.

The food was amazing—you can really taste how Chef Burgess honors his Indian roots, Hong Kong training, and attention to quality ingredients. The service was excellent as well. Our server handled a whole room almost by herself, masterfully. The only reason we can't give this a full five stars is that the individual who got seated next to us was wearing an untucked shirt, khaki shorts, and thong sandals. That would not be an issue for us had the restaurant not sent us an separate email before hand, reminding us of the dress code and, as you enter, there is a sign next to the hostess desk with the dress code posted again. The code prohibits trashy clothing and notes explicitly that sandals are not allowed. To go to those lengths and not enforce it was as off-putting on a few levels— I'm glad we had finished our meal. We do sincerely hope to come back and enjoy another great meal there if this review doesn't ban us. :)

The food is always fabulous. The service is exceptional. One of our favorite spots in Atlanta.

Welby

Fia is such a delight. Our waiter, John, was super attentive and we LOVED our food selections! I never expected to be wowed by a wedge salad but here I am to rave about it! My husband could've eaten several of the branzinos and the woodfired salmon was incredible! Not to mention the lovely cocktails. DEFINITELY check out Fia if you haven't already! ❤️❤️❤️

Highly recommend this hidden gem.
Excellent specialty cocktails. The items off the grill section of the menu were delicious, get the short rib!

We had an amazing time at Fia! The ambiance was super cool and swanky, the cocktails were delicious and so was the food. Our waiter John was wonderful! Would recommend for your next girls night out or date night.

As always, great food, great service. The best hummus in the world. John was a particular joy to have as our server.

If you are black, and expect to be treated respectfully while you dine, do not come to Fia. My wife I have been guests at Fia several times. We love this restaurant. We’ve never had a bad experience until yesterday, Sunday, June 8th.

Our reservation was at 6 pm. We arrived early, had a couple drinks and the bar, then just before 6, the bartender checked us in and we were seated at our table. This is when our pleasant experience cease to be pleasant. Our waiter, a white guy in his late 50’s, never greeted us, never introduced himself, never said anything. For about 10 minutes, my wife and I watched him laugh and trade pleasantries with the other three tables. Finally he comes over, clears the extra plates and glasses, fills our water glasses with still water, which we don’t drink. He immediately asked us if we knew what we wanted for our entree’s, so I explained that we were in no hurry and wanted to have drinks and appetizers first. He took the drink orders, returned with our cocktails moments later and again asked if we had decided on our main course. I explained a second time that we were going to relax and have appetizers first. We ordered three appetizers and they were brought to the table promptly. Halfway through enjoying our appetizers, the waiter comes by and asks a third time “do you know what you want for your entree’s? I won’t rush you, the kitchen just likes to know.” I say “ok, that’s fair but are you sure you aren’t going to rush us? You already are and we want to hang out for a while and take our time.” He says “c’mon man I’ve been doing this a long time.” We comply and tell him our choices for dinner. He doesn’t explain the dishes or wine pairings as we listened to him do with the other tables. He took our orders, grabbed the menu out of my hand and walked off. For the next 10 minutes we sat with dirty appetizer plates and empty cocktail glasses, as our waiter attended to the other 3 tables, laughing and explaining the menu and wine to them. I thought that was interesting. Finally, he comes over to take our dirty plates and empty cocktail glasses, and I ask him for another round of drinks as well as the pork belly appetizer. He says “well, your entree’s are about to come out.” I say “wait, wait. Did we not just speak about not wanting our entree’s yet? You just told me you were not going to rush us.” He says “I didn’t rush you.” Mind you, we were seated at 6 pm and it’s now 6:25. He clearly did not want us there. We refused the entree’s, asked for the bill for the drinks and appetizers, which he felt compelled not to charge us for, and we left hungry and my wife was thoroughly embarrassed. She wore a $700 Tory Burch dress and $400 heels. I was wearing a Brooks Brothers suit, shirt and tie, so aesthetically we were more than appropriate. Our server felt like we had no place in this restaurant and his actions made it clear. My advice is this: if you are black and wanted to be treated with respect, do not come here. Clearly the standard procedure is to smile and be friendly with the white guests and to rush the black patrons through dinner service and get them out of the restaurant. Sad.
