Last Sunday we were up in Norcross viewing a house. After we left, it only took a quick few seconds to find “breakfast near me” at this location, the wait line wasn’t out the door and around a corner, so we decided to check it out.

The restaurant was very busy, but deceivingly Large once we got inside! We were greeted warmly and seated promptly (off to a great start)!
Our server was super nice and you could tell that he’d been at this gig for a minute: he knew everything on that menu! He put our order in quickly: I ordered the Mini shrimp & grits ($10.99), with a pancake on the side, my husband got the Flying Biscuit Breakfast (12.49).

The shrimp and grits arrived at the table piping hot (tasted like they were cooked in milk (YAY) and the white cheddar cheese gave the grits a nice little tang on the finish. The shrimp was not blackened as the menu states, and while there was tomato sauce of sorts; I did not detect anything that tasted like roasted red pepper, and there was no hint of fresh basil. That being said, this dish is a wonderful comfort food anytime of year as far as I’m concerned, and I’d still recommend it despite the lacking ingredients.

The pancake was a swap for the biscuit (they’re just not my love language 😂😂) AND there’s an up charge for the swap (no halo effect going on here)!
The pancake was THICK, DRY, and arrived at the table almost cold. You can see in the pic that I only took a bite, ( my husband had two bites).

My husband got the Flying Biscuit Breakfast ($12.49) no surprise there, he always gets some variation of the bacon and egg breakfast 🙃

Overall, I’d give this location 4 stars because my meal was really good, as was the service, & we got seated immediately.
You’d be surprised the number of places that sell grits and don’t understand how to cook them correctly!

This was my favorite meal during my stay in Atlanta. Had the Eggsperience breakfast which included biscuits and grits and they were divine. Service is exceptionally friendly as is everyone who works there. Prices were totally reasonable and worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and just go. Especially if you crave breakfast food.

So much food for a small price. I ordered the stuffed French toast. And it came with grits, eggs, and I picked chicken sausage and a biscuit. All I can say is wow on the French toast. Amazingly delicious. The grits were surprisingly tasty. The biscuit was by far the best scratch biscuit. It was fluffy, soft and melted in your mouth. Your visit cannot be completed unless you stop in.

Visited the Athens location and service/food was beyond the best. I'm a South Georgia gal but please consider opening a location in the Jacksonville area

Come hungry …. Big portions! Per the webpage, it is a Southern Inspired Breakfast Restaurant with lots of regionally inspired dishes. We loved the big biscuits!

How DARE you take the Turkey Hash off the menu and replace it with those other SUBPAR Hashes!! I am soooo sad. Please please PLEASE bring back my Turkey Hash with that delicious gravy…people who didn’t like it probably didn’t know to ask for their eggs over well instead of runny! Just tell servers to ask patrons how they want their eggs cooked. I am so sad and disappointed that one of my go to comfort foods is just GONE!?

Please fix the East Cobb location, the food and service cannot be compared to the Mansell location in Roswell!!

The three of us was seated immediately. Rene was our server and she was courteous and efficient. The water for our two teas wasn't hot enough and she fixed the problem right away. Two of us ordered bacon and eggs and one ordered the waffle breakfast. Orders came out fast and tasted really good. The biscuits were very good too. There was plenty of free parking . We would not hesitate to go back to this restaurant.

Flying Biscuit is a favorite place. We had t been there for about a year. Food was good. But, my husband was disappointed that the chicken pot pie was off the menu … and the meatloaf as well. But, worse that that, the biscuits have changed. We checked with the server to confirm that this wasn’t just an off day. Alas, the only reason to pick Flying Biscuit over any other breakfast place is for the amazing biscuits! PLEASE, bring back the classic Flying Biscuit biscuits. Maybe you are holding them hostage in Atlanta and not allowing the biscuits to travel to Charlotte?

- fly in honey - French toast made with rye bread??? WTF! Yuck! - potatoes taste like rubber Huge disappointment given the rating. If you can get the basic stuff right why order the other stuff?
