It’s average. We went because it was getting hyped up on social media, not realizing I had been there before and it was just forgettable.
If you are going to go, and you don’t live next to Krog, I would not choose this location.
While not Fred’s fault, Krog Market sucks. It’s overly cramped, and less diverse than other market places; as a result you get an average sandwich in an upscale dumpster.

If you are looking for the best Philly Cheesesteaks… there are many top contenders and we can debate our teams; the same is true for the burgers also.
It’s not bad, but it is average with unearned hype.

Fred’s is inside the Krog District - a market style place with different eateries.

Fred’s is counter service. Staff are friendly.

I got the Korean Cheesesteak on their recommendation. It was really fantastic - tastes like a great Philly cheesesteak with Korean spice layered in it. It has a really good heat but compliments the sandwich without overpowering the cheesesteak flavors.

It’s a little difficult to get table seating - we had to sit at a bar on the wall. Overall the vibe is fun, but not exactly intimate.

The wait is inexcusable while every other person after the you served. If you order anything that isn't easy or immediately on hand they will deliberately skip your ticket. For two sandwiches it was 35 minutes(took 30 to get asked what my name was). Food was good(bread was okay). Would not recommend.

Insanely overrated cheesesteak. First and last visit today. They can’t even get the order right and even if they did, you’ll honestly get a better Philly at any Publix deli for half the price and 50% bigger at Publix with fresher ingredients. Tossed in the trash after 2 bites-and I was hungry. $20 for that crap is INSANE. Never again.

The food wasn't bad... it was just ok, loved the garlic fries even though they were a little too oily not greasy, oily. The staff was honestly pretty bad. There were a couple of young girls who rather chat and gossip than pay attention to customers. Not the worst experience, not the best.

It took 30 mins for a burger. End of review

I think I've come to the realization that cheesesteaks just aren't really my thing or this is a completely overhyped one. Just tastes like cheese and onions. If it's really qaulity meat or something you can't tell. Nothing remarkable. Absolutely not worth 18 dollars. Wish I got the burger.

Excellent food - kind of greasy but that’s exactly what I wanted. The burger was DYNAMITE! I’ll be back to gt that again.
The garlic fries were yummy too but if you don’t like garlic 🧄 then say away.
10/10 amazing late night meal. Will b back to try the Michelin rated Philly cheesesteak.

Every time I'm in Atlanta, this is a must stop. I eat the Korean steak and cheese. I have eaten a couple of other sandwich options. Their steak is top quality with flavor. Well worth the value.

My first time eating at Fred's and it was delicious!! Someone recommended the burger so I got it but that blackened salmon burger, OMG! It was delicious 😋!! My boyfriend got it and I the way he was eating it made me look at my burger!😂 My burger was delicious as well but if you like blackened salmon, I highly recommend!
