Best cheesesteak I’ve ever had

The food is amazing and well deserving of 5 stars but everything else drags this place down.

Food - I ordered the Korean Cheese Steak and BBQ fries with white sauce. The cheese steak tastes great and has candied jalapenos in it. The perfect balance of sweet and heat. The bread is extremely soft on the inside. The fries are loaded with BBQ seasoning and taste amazing. The white sauce tastes just like mayo.

Other - You have to pay for parking and walk to the food hall. There is a lot of traffic in the area. Not many places to sit. They only have bottled drinks and water.

Tried it for the first time and it was soooo good. Everyone in the office loved it. I mean cooked to perfection! Super flavorful and also super fast, especially ordering for multiple people. Sooooo worth every penny

Fred’s has a steady line of regular customers who know where the best cheeseteak you can get in town is. I was introduced to Fred’s by a buddy of mine who is from New Jersey and said Fred’s is the closest to Philly Cheese Steaks from up north as he can get in ATL. Their tradition cheesesteak is phenomenal but I like mushrooms so I get add mushrooms and it makes it even better but that’s up to you! I’ve been twice now in 2 weeks. Let’s put it that way!

The only good thing I have to say about the cheesesteak from this place is that it didn’t give me food poisoning. It was barely edible and a whopping $17 - I’ve had $4 bodega sandwiches of a higher caliber. Bread was stale, meat was overcooked, onions were undercooked. Just low quality, greasy slop that’s been sitting in a pot all day dumped thoughtlessly on some dollar store bread. Every bite was plagued by massive chunks of barely cooked onions and lacked any sort of quality or craftsmanship you might expect from something so wildly overpriced. Normally I don’t leave negative reviews for restaurants but the fact that this sorry excuse for a cheesesteak is $17 is truly despicable.

When we visited Fred's Meat & Bread in the food court #16, there was a small line, but it moved quickly. Despite being told that it would take 20 minutes, they called my name in just 10 minutes. We decided to try their cheesesteaks, and while they were good, they didn't quite match up to the ones I grew up with in Philly. On the other hand, the french fries at Fred's were absolutely fantastic. It's important to keep in mind that this is a food court, so the overall experience will be different from a standalone restaurant.

The ribeye Korean cheesesteak is to die for. Hands down the most flavorful cheesesteak I’ve had in Atlanta. Be warned: their are jalapeños in the sandwich.

I'm in shock with how good the service and comraderie was with the employees. They were hustling and made sure to crack a good joke with every customer that came to the register (and there were a lot). The cashier (I think his name was Matthew) was so kind and so hilarious, it was like having front row seats to a comedy show while eating fantastic food. I was very satisfied with my philly- it was flavorful, tender and packed to the gills with meat, cheese and all the works. I will be back again.

I got the Koreon chicken cheesesteak which was amazing!!! With the Garlic fries. All was very good and flavorful will definitely be back! The cashier was sarcastic when asked questions
