Hidden gem in ATL! Gaja is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. Tucked away in East Atlanta Village, it’s a hidden gem that delivers authentic Korean flavors with a funky, playful edge. The space has such a cool vibe, neon lights, exposed brick, steel beams, and Korean punk-inspired artwork make it feel like you’ve stumbled into a late-night Seoul street bar.
The service is consistently warm and attentive, our server even gave me a heads-up about the spice level on the fire chicken (which I was excited about and yes it lived up to the name).

I love dining family-style whenever I come here, especially when I’m visiting from out of town. Some of my favorites: the scallion pancake, brussels sprouts, tofu stir fry, and that insanely good fire chicken. Their frozen whiskey cocktail was dangerously good. It was tough to stop at just one
If you're looking for unique and bold flavors, great drinks, and a fun, high-energy setting Gaja is a must

Tuesday night Karaoke is so 🔥! Amazing food, the Old Rose old fashioned is tops and the bartenders are great.

I was the fourth person at the bar. After 15 minutes, the bartender looks at me then continues to ignore me. About 10 minutes later, they say “Whatcha thinkin’”. I order the beef bulgogi. It had so many burnt bits, I couldn’t eat it. I typed this review with napkins on my plate and an empty glass

Everything was good, ecept for bulgogi. It was overcooked and tasted like rubber. Not sweet and juicy at all.

Cool spot for trendy east-siders. Sat at the bar and the bartender that waited on us was extremely impatient and borderline rude as we had a couple questions about the menu. What was worse is that she was very nice to the couple next to us with whom she knew and I think were regulars (they were also younger and more hip). It also seemed like she was an owner or manager by the way she was speaking to the other couple. IF she is a manager or owner, she really needs to reevaluate what she is doing with her life because she seems extremely unhappy to be in customer service.
Food was just okay. I had a tofu dish and it was good but not something I’m going back for. Scallion cakes were flavorless. Mushroom lettuce wraps had great flavor but some of the mushrooms were too chewy to eat. Drinks were also just meh. Cool spot, great atmosphere, but needs to improve service and food.

Vegetarian options: A couple vegetarian options.

I’ve been to a lot of Korean restaurants, at least a hundred different and the food at Gaja is absolutely amazing. The bibimbap and bulgogi and delicious and the best I’ve had it ATL by far. The banchan and kimchi is a must have. The bar is cool but the whole restaurant is easy to miss with only a small sign which kind of adds a hidden and hip atmosphere.
