Hidden gem in ATL! Gaja is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. Tucked away in East Atlanta Village, it’s a hidden gem that delivers authentic Korean flavors with a funky, playful edge. The space has such a cool vibe, neon lights, exposed brick, steel beams, and Korean punk-inspired artwork make it feel like you’ve stumbled into a late-night Seoul street bar.
The service is consistently warm and attentive, our server even gave me a heads-up about the spice...
Cool spot for trendy east-siders. Sat at the bar and the bartender that waited on us was extremely impatient and borderline rude as we had a couple questions about the menu. What was worse is that she was very nice to the couple next to us with whom she knew and I think were regulars (they were also younger and more hip). It also seemed like she was an owner or manager by the way she was speaking to the other couple. IF she is a manager or owner, she really needs to reevaluate...
I’ve been to a lot of Korean restaurants, at least a hundred different and the food at Gaja is absolutely amazing. The bibimbap and bulgogi and delicious and the best I’ve had it ATL by far. The banchan and kimchi is a must have. The bar is cool but the whole restaurant is easy to miss with only a small sign which kind of adds a hidden and hip atmosphere.
