Some interesting reviews here.. I popped in for lunch before visiting the Sitka Store. I found it quite refreshing that the menu was elevated above the usual burgers, burgers, burgers often found in a district such as this one.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff member (Alexandra?) was ever so charming. She mentioned she was moving on due to a location change. The best of luck!

I would certainly recommend.

Chef Ann is a force to be reckoned with! Her culinary knowledge of Korean and southern influence are phenomenal!!! Great experience from start to finish. As a former chef she is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! Jasmine our server was knowledgeable and very professional. Excellent experience! Thank you so much for the memories and fantastic cuisine! We will be back for years to come! Thank you Chef!

The space is smaller and more intimate than you think; make a reservation.

I tried the trout and short rib from their new menu, both were cooked and seasoned beautifully.

The Apple tart with creme anglaise to finish the night was good enough I bought a second.

Small & quaint venue. Sat at champagne bar inside towards back of room. Service was polite & courteous. Food was exceptional & delicious - loved the lobster rolls & Scallops Risotto. Yes, highly recommend. 👍🏼👍🏼

Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We started with the fried green tomatoes and the truffle deviled egg, both were great. The shrimp and grits and the country fried pork chops wonderful. The old fashioned was exceptional.

The atmosphere at Garden & Gun is exceptional—refined Southern charm with an old-money aesthetic that bourbon enthusiasts will particularly appreciate. The bourbon selection is extensive, and the wine list is solid.

We began with appetizers, and the pimento cheese lived up to expectations. I considered ordering the deviled egg but decided against it after reading reviews mentioning the $4.50 price point for half an egg.

For my entrée, I ordered the burger and fries. The fries were great- crispy and well-seasoned. The burger was good, though not exceptional. I’ve had better burgers at Muss & Turner and Stockyard Burgers & Bones.

Tip: watch for unannounced up-charges. My companion accepted a few server suggestions without realizing they came at an additional cost. For instance, we discovered only when reviewing the bill that a large ice cube added a dollar to the drink price. It would have been nice if these charges should be mentioned upfront.

Since this meal was largely covered by American Express’s Resy benefit, I was satisfied with the overall value and would return when using the credit. However, if paying out of pocket, I’d likely visit for only drinks rather than a full meal.

It was good but wouldn’t say it lived up to my expectations. Salmon was fine. Great service.

This place won’t last much longer at this rate.

I had just returned from Italy and was excited to bring friends here for dinner. We booked an 8:30 PM reservation, only to find it cancelled—without any notice. When we called, the restaurant casually told us, “Yes, we cancelled it because our kitchen closes at 9 PM.” Only after pushing back did they reinstate the reservation.

When we arrived at 8:15, the restaurant was completely empty. Staff were already cleaning up, and instead of welcoming us, someone at the door told us to sit at the bar—even after we reminded them we had a reservation. Eventually, we were seated, but the service was rushed, and it was obvious they just wanted us out.

The irony? The food itself was excellent—honestly underrated. But what’s the point of great food if no one’s there to enjoy it? At what should be prime dining hours, the restaurant was a ghost town.

A few things make no sense:
• Why accept 8:30 reservations if you plan to push guests out the door?
• Why close the kitchen an hour before official business hours?
• Why even operate a restaurant if you don’t want to serve customers?

This was my third visit, and while the food has always been good, the empty dining room and poor service explain why no one comes back. Garden & Gun Club magazine is a fantastic publication, but this restaurant does not represent their brand well.

In the end, it’s a classic case of wasted potential: excellent food completely undermined by bad management and service
.

Disappointed when we walked in Sunday (8/10/25) at 2:00 and the bartender said he was closed. Probably won’t be back after that. If you are going to have hours of operation, you should follow those.

Get in out of the noise before the game. Really nice spot to relax and pregame.

So today I was trying a little of everything, I was originally was looking for cheecake, but got something more, sugarless, and lite, I never tried fried oysters before on TOP of a deviled egg, its the best sophisticated combo in the world, my mouth is hi- maintenance now omg, Joe my bartender /server, was such a delight, make you feel very welcoming, make sure you check him and the reasturant out. I didn't stay in to eat because , I felt like I needed to be more dressed up, but next time, I'll come cute to enjoy another menu item.
And the hostess is wonderful as well, I didn't catch her name, but thank you!
