This was one of the best meals I have had in Atlanta. The combination of the communal dining experience, the explanations from the staff as to what we were eating, and the outstanding food was potent. My favorite dish was a trio of concoctions that honored three great spots on Buford Highway. There was also a cereal and milk dish focused on truffles and sun choke milk that was memorable. I found this spot because it was on the Eater Atlanta list of top restaurants for special occasions and it did not disappoint.

We had the pleasure of dining here last night, and from the moment we walked through the door, the experience began! My husband had no idea what he was in for, and needless to say — he was blown away.
The service, presentation, and menu selection were all top-notch — truly A1. Every dish we tried was exceptional, and the wine pairing was the perfect complement to the meal.
They also paid close attention to our allergy restrictions, offering thoughtful and delicious alternatives without compromising flavor or presentation. That level of care truly stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable.
It’s absolutely worth the price point for the quality and attention to detail. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!!!!!!

The place puts too much effort into unnecessary details and forgets about the food itself. None of the course can be called tasty. The harsh overhead lighting, tall stools, and shared tables make it far from cozy. I wouldn’t come back or recommend it to friends.

Not my favorite tasting menu but it wasn't bad either. Some unique combinations. The service was excellent and the overall experience was enjoyable.

The restaurant bills itself as a private fine dining chef’s table experience where you get to explore the culinary whimsy of chef Joey right in his kitchen.
This is not entirely accurate.
None of the food is cooked while you wait. It is plated and finished after you are seated. So, unfortunately none of the food is fresh. The “hot” dishes are served lukewarm and are far outnumbered by the cold dishes (I think for this reason).
Additionally, at this price point EVERYTHING should be delicious. Unfortunately, hot dog flavored ice cream and bouillabaisse seasoned almond milk over cereal is just not appetizing. It was definitely a case of form of function, or rather whimsy over edible.
At times there were so many components to each dish, the flavor profiles were either overwhelming or did not mesh well.
But, despite the disappointment in the food, the most unconscionable part of the evening is the speed at which we were rushed through the meal and out of the restaurant.
They say that they have two seatings of eight each night. This is not true. We were the first table of eight for the evening. Halfway through our meal a second table of eight was sad. They were incredibly loud and drunk, and it was difficult to enjoy our experience. Then, at the end of the meal, before we had even finished our drinks, we were told that we could take our drinks to the city area and ushered out.
When we asked why we couldn’t finish our drinks at the table, we were told that there were more guest waiting to be seated after us.
I think this is why they cannot cook the food fresh.
If you were seating, four tables of eight people a night, for 16 courses, you cannot cook the food fresh.
But, that is not how they present themselves in their literature
Additionally, on the website, it says that the $300 per person meal is inclusive of everything except for the drinks. It states that no gratuity is expected. However, when we left, we were presented with a gratuity option.
Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing culinary experience. I simply cannot believe that they get so many five star reviews.
For four people, our Bill was $1338. The quality of the food, the lack of fresh food, and being rushed through the experience, did not warrant that type of price point

My husband surprised me with a special night at Georgia Boy for my birthday. There actually are no words to describe this experience. I am a former elementary teacher so the Roald Dahl touches all around and throughout the meal, made me so happy. The food and the wine were spectacular. You could really taste how they made each other better. Then the staff made me want to cry with their kind happy birthday whispers and a candle on the dessert. It may have been one of the best birthday treats of my 53 years. Thank you to everyone who made my day extra special.

An awesome, unique dining experience that I’d definitely recommend for a special occasion (or just a fun time). The chef and team are very flexible to dietary restrictions and preferences, which I greatly appreciated since I don’t usually go in for the traditional “raw and offals” approach of small plate dining. Their vegetarian options were also great!

Exceptional Food. Ingenuous , exceptional , Staff very nervous and very Tense. The speed required by staff (at a tasting menu ) is astonishing. EAT FAST . Felt like I spent the evening having dinner with a Great cook and a Staff of very mean school teachers on an extremely tight schedule. At the end of the meal, we were HUSTLED out as well. Great spot for Fast Eating. This is not fine dining.

Georgia Boy was a magical, delightful, and delicious experience from start to finish. Food is my passion, and I’ve traveled the world in search of the best — yet Georgia Boy delivered the most exceptional food, service, and overall experience I’ve ever had. I especially appreciated that the vegan tasting menu matched the creativity and complexity of the regular menu, and the entire staff made us feel truly celebrated. (I even mentioned how much I loved a tiny cucumber on one of the dishes, and a staff member graciously brought me a little to-go ramekin to take it home. 😂) Chef Ward’s presence at the table meant so much as well — it’s always exciting to meet the mind behind such detailed and inspired dishes. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful night and for making my fiancés birthday so special. We’ll be back!

The food was delicious, surprising, exciting, with abundant variety and quantity.
The service was fine, but reserved and restrained.
The wine list was extremely limited - 2 red wines and 2 white wines by the glass, delicious but markedly overpriced. The wine pairing would have been enough for 2 people but were curtly told that it couldn't be shared.
Overall a delicious meal of creative and capricious dishes, but the service was rushed with overlapping seatings, and the alcohol offerings were stingy, and overpriced. I am sure the management knows this well.
Finally, I was offered to tip 28% of the total bill including the tax, which is a stretch given the meal was $300+ per person, without the wine pairings, and then we were abruptly ushered out the restaurant - with the impression that there was another seating waiting for our seats.
Overall a fun, unique delicious experience, but one in which we felt rushed and nickle/dimed for drinks. For this price I would expect to have felt coddled and smothered in service, but this wasn't our overall experience. The service was professional, and well choreographed, but not personable or friendly. The variety and quality of the food compensated for some of these deficiencies, but the overall experience was just good, not magnificient.

So interactive!!!
I came here for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everything was so intentionally done, and even the dish that wasn't my favorite still managed to combine flavors meshed very well.
There is a little twist about the experience.I won't spoil it for you, but it definitely boosted the brownie points for this place for me.
The shoutout to Buford Hwy restaurants was very thoughtful and inspired me to continue to try more places and different kinds of cuisines.
Oh, and their NA drinks are delicious!
Do yourself a solid and go to Georgia Boy.

Working in Atlanta for the weekend and decided to check out Georgia Boy. I enjoyed the tasting menu and thought the cereal course that was a play on words was wonderful
