Food was expensive , lacked taste . Sweet tea was too sweet … atmosphere is comparable to a gas station restaurant. . Very very underwhelming

Worst experience. I walked in and told the server we had a party of 8. She immediately rolled her eyes, made a loud “UGH” sound and turned her back to me. The manager was standing next to her. I asked them both if that was a problem and should we leave - the server said no and walked away. The manager told me to sit on the side. This was 9:30. The rest of my party came and we were seated at 9:45. We were placed in the corner, half booth, half chairs. The first child went on her knees to crawl across the length of booth because the tables were pushed tightly against the booth. The manager said “get your feet off the seat, you are not at home.” We were taken aback considering (1) her feet weren’t on the booth and (2) it was pretty clear the tables were pushed too close to the booth for anyone to walk or even scoot all the way across to the far seat against the window. We ordered drinks within 5 minutes, the coffees took 20 minutes to arrive. The restaurant was probably 15% full at the time. The waitress never smiled and was not friendly, although she did check on us often. We ordered our food. Around 10:30 a few friends showed up that we knew and asked to sit with us. The manager came over and said in a very rude tone “Ma’am! You didn’t tell me more people were coming.” Make no mistake, she said ma’am but was NOT being polite. I responded “we’ve been here an hour how would I know they were coming?” One of the girls pulled out the table so they could walk to their seats without touching the booth, in fear of the manager who already scolded them. One of the glasses of water fell and shattered. The only nice person throughout this entire encounter was the man that came over to tell her that it was okay, accidents happen. Honestly someone actually being nice to us at this point was shocking, but appreciated knowing she was little and embarrassed. By this time, the restaurant was full. It was now almost 11:00. We asked the waitress when our food was coming and she said “what food?” We laughed and said “are you serious? We ordered well over an hour ago.” She said “you told me not to put the order in.” At this point we realized they clearly did not want us there, so we asked for our bill so we could leave. We had 2 coffees, a lemonade, tea and waters. They added a 20% tip for being a large party lol. This place may have reviews for good food, but I wouldn’t know. We were treated horribly from the moment we walked in the door, I should’ve known better and left then.

I ordered a Big Breakfast from them around pm this afternoon and they forgot my eggs and toast with the order , that's half the breakfast, I still had to end up cooking due to they did not have half my food jn my DD order and the bag was sealed, so I know it was their fault

Sunday brunch was CRAZY. The wait staff was overwhelmed and clearly needed more staff. I also think the pricing was high for the quality. We sang happy birthday as a whole restaurant which was the highlight.

It's not our first time going, but at this location in Midtown... Did not disappoint! We ordered french toast, eggs, grits( a must stone ground), bacon, fried wings, mac/ cheese and collard green. Food was delicious, and the staff was very pleasant, friendly, and courteous. Highly recommend!!!

Ordered the catfish with two sides and a corn muffin as a to go order. Added to additional sides. Missing corn muffin. Please check to go orders for accuracy before releasing to patrons. Spending $40 for a meal with missing item is not cool and there’s no way to contact the restaurant directly to report order issues.

As a resident in the building, I was excited to support this restaurant, but my first experience was disappointing. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit for pick-up, and the order took over an hour to prepare. I tried calling several times to check on the order, but the phone hung up on me three times, which was very frustrating.
When I finally got my food, the grits were missing from the bag. After pointing it out, they were added, but they were so watery that no amount of butter or salt could make them edible. The biscuit was dry, the eggs tasted like powdered eggs, and only the bacon stood out as good.
The staff were friendly and smiled while handing me the food, but serving such poor-quality items after such a long wait felt disheartening. To make matters worse, I wasn’t able to get in touch with the restaurant after leaving to address these concerns since I had already started my day.
I hope management will look into these issues and improve, as I’d love to give this place another chance. There’s so much potential, but this experience left me very disappointed.

I went there on a date. The date was trash but the food and the service was so great I couldn’t even be upset. I will be going back probably alone but definitely happy lol 💕
